Duncan Ferguson the coach

Says to me he can't coach tbh. Or more that he isn't involved in coaching in any serious capacity. Because if he was his position would not be tenable after two failed regimes and he would need to leave for the sake of his own reputation.

So whilst none of us know what really happens on the training pitch, this shows us pretty clearly that Duncan is playing a similar role to the kitman. A new manager doesn't usually give the kitman his marching orders as far as I know, so the Dunc abides.
I'll just pretend I didn't see or reply to this.

OR that maybe hes said repeatedly under each manager that things should be done differently and all the managers have ignored his advice, as I say, we have no idea what input hes allowed, he could just be putting cones, running drills, doing what hes told by the manager no doubt, I mean if hes picking the side and training the players to be [Poor language removed], then sure, lets sack him.

I find the desire amongst certain elements of our support to attack the man, pretty pathetic in all honesty
Was a big fan of Dunc as a player - very talented footballer and gave us something special in dark times. And I'm fine with him being involved now, a few words here and there can make a difference to players, and he's worn the RBJ with distinction. But events make it clear that he's not in the mix of any serious coaching at the club. If he himself has ambitions in that direction then he needs to leave.

I don't quite see how that is clear, perhaps the players and staff around him see him as a positive and speak out as such, and regardless, ambition is a relative term, perhaps Duncan's ambition is to work at everton

Weren’t there rumours that Koeman banned him from speaking in the changing rooms pre game. Maybe he does have an alternative viewpoint which is valued. Maybe though there’s no one who has the balls to give him the olde p45

I haven't a clue if he can coach or not to be honest. I like him, he has given the club a lot but I now have to question his influence on things now. Fat Sam has brought in his cronies,

I think he said in the presser that he will wait and see if they toe the line, but he did mention him by name and called him big Dunc. Maybe that was to appease us but I hope he has got a future
