ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

But the Sturridge got injured in his first game, nobody is going to want him now. He's there and will leave on a free.

Lallana is on £110,000 a week....who is going to pay that? He's on that for another THREE seasons. No way he's going to accept a pay cut with that much left on his contract.

KArius and Mignolet might go for that...then you're left with no goalie lol.

Clyne's issues are apparently not just his injuries. If you believe that sort of thing.

Because that's cosmetic, they have already lost two players on frees with a dozen or so to follow. All have to be replaced. You're looking at the past (like most Liverpool fans ;) )
The reason it hasn't been managed well is what's to come in the future.

Tick tock.
Jordan ibe 15m
Marcus Stewart 8m
Rickie Lambert 3 million (how the **** did that happen).
Benteke 28m
Carroll 17m

People pay money even for there really **** players

They haven't spent any of their own money, while it may look to everyone like they are spending big, it's money from player sales or cl money. Fsg haven't spent a penny of their own money on players in over 3 years.

Net spend in last three years is now about £100m btw.

That doesn't even take into account agents fees, signing on fees, FSG facilitation fees etc.

Think you mean Kevin Stewart.

Other than Lambert they were all still young with a reasonable rep. Carroll wasn't worth £17m but he was signed for double that only three years previously, for example.

Ibe was apparently going to better than Sterling.

I'm talking about before this transfer window.
And this transfer window they have the 75m cl money.

Loving this World Cup but it seems that the meeja are ramping up the "Dis is arr yeear" nonsense so that, in a fortnight, we will have forgotten all about Sir Harry and the boys bringing it home and we'll be back to speculating how many points der Mighty Redz will win the (Alternative) Premier League by.
Another undefeated year... who could possibly beat them? I fear for Lawro's predictions this year - especially as they're the only team to have strengthened whilst everyone else has weakened and are probably all suitable for the Championship.

The only controversy will be when FIFA don't let Mo parade the world cup, ballon d'or or Oscar for best supporting actor at Anfield.

But if i was a red winding up blues I wouldn't be making reds sign up on here it a fit of pique....just saying.

You post more about Liverpool than you do anything else.
You even seem to know more about their 2nd string players like Bogdan for example who I had to google.

You're either a red on a wind up or just obsessed about them.

Well i could write 'moshi is a fraud' every second post like some. Gets boring after a while.

Massively bold claim to say Keita and Fabinho are upgrades on Henderson and Milner. Neither is an upgrade on Can though. And either are anywhere near Coutinho.
Their midfield is actually weaker than it was at this time last year, especially as Milner is now a year older as well.
You're probably the only person I know who thinks they're not an upgrade. Seriously??!! I've heard plenty of Utd fans (not Liverpool's biggest fans!) acknowledge that Liverpool have strengthened significantly in midfield, but as you say, time will tell.

That's spot on mate, it's also been on debt too though, which stands at 300 million currently. Without a big sale this summer, it will be interesting to see what the new figure will be by September.

FSG have spent no money though. The bet spend (substantially higher than 100 million over the last 3 and a bit years) has been paid for in part by increases in TV revenue, CL money and sponsorship but in no small part by debt which now stands at around 300 million (that's before the 45 on Fabinho).

There's pretty much no way anyway can say either way with total accuracy atm. But i saw a lot of Keita last season and the boy is average, lightweight and seemed off the pace.

Fabinho is coming from a league renowned for its flops.

Hendo and Milnsy Baby are limited but are proven premier league footballers, mediocre to say the least but they can do a job.

Coutinho is better than them both, that gets lost a bit....his departure weakened your midfield significantly. Can was your best midfielder once coutinho left.

Upgrape? Can left to join one of the world's glamour clubs, perennial winners of their league and Champions League stalwarts, Keita joined a club whose fanbase celebrate scraping 4th place on the final day like their granddads celebrated winning European Cups.
I think that's somewhat telling, if i'm being honest. Truth hurts sometimes but there it is.

Yeah FSG are milking them big time. 4th places and losing finals is all that's needed to keep them sated, bet they can't believe their luck.

How is it £300million? I've seen that mentioned a few times and it doesn't seem to be true.
It's £67 mill according to this

They've got a £120m loan to FSG (loan that's growing on a daily basis btw, not started paying it back but still accumulating interest). And another bank loan.

That bank loan from fsg was for the increased capacity it pays it self off, 15m added to rheir turnover per season
If you are calling that a debt, the we are in over 150m debt to moshiri, and Chelsea are in over 1bn in debt to abramovich.
