ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

United are a good team though, of the top teams only City have been able to do anything at sold Trafford recently. Liverpool haven’t had a sniff there. 3-0 is a great result. Spurs have better players in nearly every position than Liverpool and a better manager. It is media invention that Liverpool are City’s only challengers. Their deluded fan base lap it up though and start singing songs about being top after 3 games, we know where this leads.

Haven't Spurs finished ahead of the RS 9 times in the last 10 years??

That doesn't get over turned quickly unless both teams change dramatically which they haven't.

A little disturbing that the echo name individual residents in that article, as if they are responsible for the club losing out of revenue.

The name councillors who voted against also but goes with the territory I suppose. How about naming the councillors who were happy for the residents to have to put up with another 10 days of events being held their.

Why is the decision to not have non sporting events in a residential area 'astonishing' & 'shocking'?

The article even says there was a strong objection to it from residents and councilors alike. It was always going to be a stupid suggestion, unless, as others have mentioned they make it into a non-residential area using their usual methods.

Stupid and rhetorical question but isn't it obvious why arenas are generally always built in non residential and built up areas?

If George Orwell wrote about a cynically awful football club and its tame media and manipulation of its fan base via cult like techniques, then he'd be laughed out of town if he came up with anything as dystopian as the rs.

It is astonishing and shocking because normally the council bends over backwards to help Liverpool out normally. Wonder if any of these shocked Echo journalists live by Anfield ?

If they DO get permission for music events to be held at the Pit, might I suggest a Genesis tribute band would be an excellent idea.

The club would surely approve of 'Get 'Em Out By Friday' ringing around the neighbouring streets... :)

Salah: him and his agent are demanding the resignations of the bosses of the Egyptian FA because they continue to use Salah's image for national team sponsors promo photos and events - Salah has his individual deal with Vodaphone concerning image rights. On a related issue, he's also demanding he isn't asked to do photos with fans given permission to do so by the Egypitian FA. The FA there are adamant they wont be bullied by Salah and promise to treat all players equally and ask them all to fulfill obligations.

The Egyptian King acting like a proper Pharaoh.

He's changed. He used to be such a lovely young man as well. As humble as humble could be (allegedly).
