ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Wasn't it £1m to settle without admitting liability though? Which City agreed to?

Can't really see it going any further, if that's the case.

Any other club apart from Liverpool/rags there would be outrage and an FA inquiry. They supposedly used our scouting notes to buy Coutinho who they went on to sell for a huge profit. They used this money to build their current squad. They were still accessing our database when they got van Dijk, no doubt they looked at all our scouting reports on him.
There is enough to say they got a definite advantage and they should be investigated. For any lurking cultists on here, especially the ones who frequent RAWK and want City banned for ffp violations, your current success is built on cheating.

Lots hinging on 'supposedly' there, mate. Supposedly doesn't hold up in court. Not surprised City accepted the settlement in that case.

Separate cases obviously, but I don't believe Jackson did it. At a point it just becomes good business sense to say 'go away, I don't want to deal with this anymore'.
In that case I've got a bag of magic beans for sale.

Look at OJ, he fought his case and won, but the vast majority of people still believe he did it.
That's because he clearly did it. He's a murderer.
It also reflects unfavourably on the plaintiff if they accept an out-of-court settlement to drop the case, as City have done and as those did in the Jackson cases.

It implies that their motivation was money all along, not seek justice via the legal system.

Cant argue with that.

Ok I’ll bite. Not a lot to spend? Are you daft?

Our commercial, tv and match day revenue combined will likely eclipse the 500 mil mark for the second year in a row this year, while our wages(players and staff) is still well below 300 mil a year, and the only other significant operating costs we have are probably the 25 mil a year we are paying to our owners interest free for the main stand expansion. Add to this the 52 mil we made from player sales, and only spending 1.2 mil on Sepp van der Berg, it’s clear there is still a significant amount if Klopp chooses to spend it.
The good thing for you lot though is that we will likely not spend anything in January bar any injury.
Klopp doesn’t buy for the sake of it, he waits for the right player, unlike some clubs we know...

With the nicest will in the world mate, if you're a kopite you're not really in any position to be calling anyone else daft are you? You are by far and away the most inept, ridiculed and foolhardy fanbase in the country (hence why the whole country can't stand you).

I'll deal with some of the substance. You will have to let me know who the 50 million pounds worth of sales are. I have Mignolet at 6 and Kent at 6.5. I know Kopite Maths might give you 6 + 6.5 = 50. So try to spin to me where the 50 million comes from (without adding in imaginary loan payments or the 20 million for Ings that would have been allocated last summer).

I have listened to Liverpool supporters all summer blabbering on about all these signings you are going to make. I have been quite consistent and said that will not happen. And surprise surprise, look who's been proven right again? This is like the last idiot on here who made out Naby Keita would be the bets player in the Premier League. I stated he was about the level of Gana Gueye. He told my I would be proven wrong by September of last year.In fairness I was proven wrong but not in the way he had envisioned, Keita has proven to be a very poor imitation of Gana Gueye. At £55 million arguably the biggest single waste of money I've ever seen in football history him. For your sake you ought to be thankful United are throwing money down the drain to avoid that title.

The broad point in all of this, is dealing with the continual sleuth of rubbish, is rather tiresome. I do my bit to try and educate you reds as best as I can, and the few brighter ones amongst you do show some signs of progress, but for the most part it floats over you.

I'll give it a go though. Your wage bill is already substantially higher than Manchester City (you know the Manchester City you say are cheating to buy the league by having a smaller wage bill than yourselves). That is before substantial bonus payments are made on the bank of winning a trophy. FSG are known to have heavily incentivised contracts and there will be both wage increases but also substantial 1 off payments to go alongside this. The pot is now empty. Record incomes mean you can just about break even. However a wage bill of over £300 (and perhaps considerably above if you factor in new contracts) are hard to sustain (it's questionable whether even City could sustain such a wage bill).

I wouldn't worry too much though. You will likely be able to sell Salah for £150 million soon, maybe Mane for £80, Van Dijk for £150 and that will allow you to replenish your squad again, which FSG have proven very adept at.

Either that, or you keep deluding yourselves you'll be paying £300 million+ for Mbappe in January. All the best soft lad.

My words not theirs. They're bang to rights mate, guilty as sin.

Just had a glance and in 2013, City had peak Silva, Nasri and Navas in their team scoring and creating plenty. The last thing they needed was another attacking midfielder, they would never have signed Coutinho who, at the time was rotting at Inter Milan being managed by none other than, Rafael Benitez. And City didn't sign another one till 2 years later in 2015 when they signed Sterling and KDB.

Also, if City were scouting Van Dijk at Groningen in 2013, then fair play, that's impressive. But if they hadn't changed their scouting system passwords by 2018, 5 years after the settlement, I've little sympathy for them.

That's because he clearly did it. He's a murderer.

Respectfully, the jury disagreed.

Navas scoring and creating plenty? Must have been a very quick glance. Also it doesn't matter if we would have signed him or not. We had data on him which they then used for their own benefit. They cheated and got caught, luckily for them not by the authorities because what they did wasn't only ethically wrong it was illegal too.

"But if they hadn't changed their scouting system passwords by 2018, 5 years after the settlement, I've little sympathy for them" Interesting take on things. Do you think women who wear mini skirts are asking for it and people who leave a window open deserve to be burgled? Regardless of how careless City were, Liverpool are still cheating criminals.

"Respectfully, the jury disagreed" because they're always right. Stefan Klitschko says hi. The jury found him innocent on the back of Rodney King. OJ is a murdering piece of filth no matter what a jury said.

Imagine being a kopite though honestly....
Waking up thinking your an edgy, leftist, corbynite whose standing up for the people, ynwa and all that crap, 6 times (only behind milan and Madrid lids)
Only to realise you support a tory club, founded by tories, that have already enabled the tories to get the country booted out of Europe once

Crying and shaking lads

I'm not defending what they did. Just stating that City haven't done their credibility any favours by accepting a settlement out of court, and I think you agreed with that.

Also, I didn't use the word 'deserved' anywhere. I said i've little sympathy if they believed their system was hacked by a former employee using an old password in 2013 and they then didn't change their passwords by 2018. Preventative measures are important. That would be, at best, reckless, at worst brainless.

It can generate bad publicity to fight your case, even if you're innocent, because it becomes a drawn out affair with everyone speculating.

I mean i dont want to go off topic, but i cant get past it, do you thknk OJ was innocent?

State of that ref yesterday with his hands on his head gutted that Chelsea got level then ran off celebrating when it got chalked off, they are not even close to city , they could and should of dropped at least 6 points.
