ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I have to hold my hands up and say I was wrong. I believed VAR would put an end to their charades, instead it's given referees an opportunity to pick and choose the outcome of a game.

Take the game yesterday, the offside goal for Chelsea, there must have been 10 passes after the offside, as well as 2 goal-line clearances - now in that sense surely there was a change of phase therefore the goal should have stood, obviously there was an offside so the decision was correct in the end, but does anyone think that would of got highlighted if it was Liverpool?

Then the free-kick directly afterwards, the Chelsea defender was literally ran into while he was jumping, he doesn't have to move out of the way for Firmino, so in my opinion it's a foul on the defender not vice-versa? And why wasn't it shown on the round-up afterwards? It literally just showed the free kick.

Personally I think it all stinks of corruption, but hey what do I know!.

It was before VAR came in, I'm sure it was the RS against Southampton, someone from the RS picks the ball up in an offside position, he passes it down the line and it gets cut - in and someone puts it into the back of the net, linesman doesn't give/see the offside.

It was pointed out that with VAR that RS goal wouldn't have counted, but when it was discussed on Sky it was said that it would have still been a goal because of the phases of play, and the fact that Southampton had numerous chances to defend the ball before it was put away.
