As much as I hate to say it he is the signing they needed.
However, as others have said he does seem to have his
fair share of injuries. The other thing for me is that he will
try and get forward. That could expose 'the best defender the
world has ever seen' more than he has been in recent seasons.
Without his 3 man defensive wall around him things could get interesting.
I recall Klopp played Shaqiri a few times the season before last and they
got caught out time and time again. Klopp soon pulled the plug on that idea and
went back to his 3 defenders very quickly. However, a decent signing
and his about to happen diagnosis of being an Asthma sufferer may change
things regarding his fitness.
