ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Well James has played as a deep playmaker too, with far better output.

Ok, have it your way, while he "struggled to find a place" hes managed to wrack rather a lot of appearances, trophies and individuals awards hasnt he? Far more than Thiago has done across his whole career..

Have a think about what that tells you.

Far better output as a deep playmaker haha

Thiago has literally won more trophies as well you're just making it up as u go along.

I'm pretty sure that Rodriguez has won 18 and Thiago has won 16

Edit, in fact Rodriguez has 24.so I was downplaying him a bit there my good chum but I'm sure you can show me Thiagos record which I'm sure will be quality as well.

Well he has won the same CLs across his career as James has won across the period he wasnt playing or whatever it was you said.

Even during James most unproductive period, hes won more, in more teams of the year, been named as midfielder of the year etc etc. Hes just a far superior player, even when hes not been at his best. That's what the evidence shows buddy.

*red here* Any red who says Rodriguez is anything but a top player is just a weirdo, hes a class player and honestly I cant even think of anyone like him you've had in the premier league. a statement signing that would compete for a place at any top 6 club. If he can get back to his performances shown at the start of his Madrid career and at Bayern I think hes a similar level to Coutinho tbf.

Had to laugh at this take tho ffs
"Yes I mean there is that. There's a few differences. I mean however good a player Thiago is, you wouldnt really put him into the same category as James, who is a cut above (which is meant as no disrespect to Thiago, but there are levels in football)."

Genuinely struggling to understand how the player who has struggled to find a place since 2015 is a cut above the player whose been vital to Bayern since arriving. The "debatable if hes better than Allan" the icing on the cake lol.
Who you gonna kill next

@Demise099 Yes as I have said, James has won more.

Or as Demise puts it, stating facts in his little, embittered brain is "making it up". The problem you have here mate, is we deal in evidence, not cult propaganda. Choose your side of the debate.

I think Thiago has won more Catcher but I mean we are talking about both players winning over 20 trophies each so you aren't making anything up, it'll be quite close in the trophy count.

This fella comes across as quite angry compared to some of the more relaxed ones who grace our lovely forum so it's no surprise that he might get a little frustrated if we don't have the exact figures on hand

Answer the question.

Why does 49 appearances make Thiago a vital member, and 43 appearances (with more than double the goals and assists) make James a player ‘struggling to find a place’?

Thiago missed like half a season in 2018 with an injury and its pretty common knowledge if Thiago is fit hes in the team no questions asked. I mean just watch Bayern did u see the champions league final it was essentially a montage of Thiago pinging balls into space out wide for the wide players to run onto. (I really have to stress it is not the job of a deep playmaker to get double digit goals and assists lads) Hes also probably about to win UCL midfielder of the year as well if anyones remotely arsed about the tinpot individual awards like?

That very website counts Thiago having won 28 trophies??? 31 if u include his u17 european championship and 2 u21 european championships ofc.

So you recon James was completely injury free for the full two seasons he was there?

And what has Thiago playing a few passes in the champions league final a few weeks ago got to do with Rodriguez 'struggling to find a place'?

My argument isn't about Thiago being a bad player, hes not, hes a world class player. But so is Rodriguez. Except one just signed for the RS and the other signed for little old Everton. So the cult have their party line and they're sticking to it, despite the facts proving it completely wrong.

If "cult propaganda" means actually properly reading the amount of trophies won by Thiago properly then yes its cult propaganda mate
