To any normal person that is one of the most obvious comments ever said in the history of the world, unfortunately large parts of their support just won't get it.

Some of the replies are unbelievable.
Unity from a city doesn't include inclusive anthems.
I'm sure the family would have appreciated near 40,000 football fans in this city showing respect rather than just under 3,000 singing their anthem or whatever they call it.

I mean it is just basic intelligence.

To show our respect let us sing a song that is specific to us (in regards to the city) at the home of our city rivals who hate hearing that song. That will show the world we are intelligent, empathetic people.

They won't admit to it because they never self examine themselves but bizarrely twist any form of criticism into a lack of respect for them. They dont realise its a two way street it's now so deep rooted in them. Their distain for us snowballed from the 70s and has been passed on down their ranks. - even their non Brit managers contempt has been clear, particularly this latest one. Then again scratch the surface and hes equally bad mannered and sneering to most who question him. What a shower.
