How much time does Klopp spend next to the 4th official in every game ? In his ear constantly. It’s ridiculous.

And every single game, the 4th official dutifully bends over and lets Klopp have his way with him.How much time does Klopp spend next to the 4th official in every game ? In his ear constantly. It’s ridiculous.
Reckon city will win it in a canter.
They haven’t even kicked in yet and he’s been experimenting.
They've had that every year in the PL = 1 title. They don't need Salah when they've got corrupt officials giving them every decision under the sun.
its a pointless additional process if it offers no depth of scrutiny. They are feared of putting their mates in a bad light by evidencing that they have made a wrong call. There needs to be a removal of any blaming when a ref makes a wrong call, they are humans acting in a fast dynamic environment with multiple demands on their attention. it would be incredibly unusual if they didnt make mistakes. Cricket manages brilliantly when the video umpire corrects a bad call on field, the on field umpire shrugs their shoulders then gets on with it.The ref gives it and then VAR gives it, it’s an absolute fix.
It’s hilarious that we have a close title race between:
A club with unlimited resources that have compiled a squad of world class players in every position containing Rodri De Bruyne Haaland all managed by the best manager of all time
A club that hasn’t spent any money, has a midfield containing Curtis Jones Harvey Elliot and Wataru Endo, has one reliable forward, and has a collection of fullbacks that can’t defend. They’re not managed by the best manager of all time.
Statistically these two shouldn’t be anywhere near each other every season yet we have engineered title races between the two because one team gets airlifted in every single game they don’t play well in.
Agree totally. They've installed VAR as a device to suggest a layer of scrutiny and then immediately devised the 'clear and obvious' concept for changing decisions which allows them the wriggle-room to adjust decisions to suit their narrative / product.its a pointless additional process if it offers no depth of scrutiny. If football VAR doesnt add a layer of scrutiny, it is pointless and facile. Unless there is an ulterior motive of course.
It pains me to say it but I am with lemon-faced one on this. City should do enough.
The technology isn't the issue really.Agree totally. They've installed VAR as a device to suggest a layer of scrutiny and then immediately devised the 'clear and obvious' concept for changing decisions which allows them the wriggle-room to adjust decisions to suit their narrative / product.
The deflection in the Establishment Club media today is why Joelinton wasn't red carded!Just seen the penalty given to jota, wow what an utter disgrace. Why don't they just be done with playing the games and the premier League can just post the scores of the games at 5 o'clock every Saturday.
Last night was a particular outrage, but we know that they get decisions for them. It's how they;ve remained relevant as a club since the 90s.
But Liverpool won't slip up playing high profile fixtures like last night: Liverpool will slip up the way they always slip up: encountering 'smaller' teams who'll dig in and give them no space to exploit in the way United did at Anfield a few weeks back. Any PL team can do that and get a result...even against a vastly better team and more inventive one like City.
They have 6 draws right now - they''ll pile up another loss and probably 4 more draws. That just takes a City team with the bit between its teeth to stretch away to a comfortable title defence. They;re only effectively 2 points from Liverpool now.
People getting terrified about a very average Liverpool team with one word class player in it - who's out for the next month anyway - are maybe jumping the gun a bit.
The best PL team of all time, current world and European champions, managed by Pep Guardiola can’t afford to have an off day in the premier league or they drop points, every time. In fact they even drop points when playing well as seen v Liverpool Spurs and Palace.
The most unrelenting competition in the world doesn’t allow a single team to get 3 points consistently if they’re not at their best. Villa, Arsenal, Spurs all excellent teams with excellent players who have been punished when not at their best.
Then there’s one team with more average performances than good ones this season who more often than not get 3 points when they’re not playing well defying the competition that seems to affect all other 19 teams. How truly bizarre. Or just corrupt.
