What bugs me is that they won the CL in 2005 because they were resting players in the league and it looks like they can win the league this season because unlike all their competitors, they've not had any other competitions to worry about. I don't think they'll ever be one of the really big clubs again, fighting on all fronts because they haven't managed it for years.

That champions league win was a freak (Harry Kewell and Djimi Traore on a champions league winning team!lol) and if they do win the league this year then it will have been a soft title win handed to them on a plate by the FA.It's not as if Liverpool reached Man Uniteds high standards and beat them.They had to rely on a Man United team with a manager trying to fill Alex Fergusons quite hefty size tens imploding.

Honestly...if they win the league it's because they are the best team, the games against Chelsea and City are key really, still be v surprised if they do..still think city will do it

It's not though is it. All the other teams have been playing CL football, they've not even been good enough to play Europa. Do you honestly think Cittee wouldn't be further in front of them if they had no European distractions?

as well as getting knocked out of both cups at an early round.

city are out of everything else now, so can'y use that excuse if they do imo.
