What I find maddening is the RS trait of going "down as soon as you are touched" is now becoming the norm in the prem.
WHen SUarez first came he did it none stop and everyone was pointing the finger at him saying it was cheating. Now many of the other players (Sterling, Sturridge etc) are doing it and you get turds like shearer and hansen saying" it is right to go down like you have been shot for ANY contact"

The British game has been about strength and staying on your feet, diving was frowned upon but that goofy racist has done it so much it is slowly becoming part of our game.

Watch true greats like Messi and Ronaldinho, they actually try their best to ride tackles and stay on their feet - that to me is a real footballer deserving of high praise not some disgusting biting cheat.

The disgusting sewer rat in interviews actually believes he's mended his ways and is now more mature...simply because he hasn't bitten a player for 6 months or called one a n*g*r.

The english media darlings get away murder, remember gerrards dive against sheff utd, they all defended him, his elbow on fellaini was the latest in a long line of cowardly attacks by gerrard, he is dead hard when he knows he can't be hurt, not one mention of it in the press, had fellaini done the elbow on gerrard we would still be hearing about till next season

If you guys knew the rules of the game you'd know there doesn't have to be contact for a foul to be awarded :

A direct free kick is awarded to the opposing team if a player commits any of the following seven offences in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force:

  • kicks or attempts to kick an opponent
  • trips or attempts to trip an opponent
  • jumps at an opponent
  • charges an opponent
  • strikes or attempts to strike an opponent
  • pushes an opponent
  • tackles an opponent

The sturridge one was a dive. The other 2 were stonewall pens lads.

They also should have got a pen in the first half when fellaini had several pops at suarez and then in the second half sturridge WAs taken out (AFTER his dive).

I believe you have some errors in your rulebook.

You're missing the section where these rules only apply to opposition of Sky favored clubs. (I believe those are enumerated in a footnote).

Vidic's tackle does not fall into any of those categories other than 'tackles a player'. Not sure how such a vague statement can make it into the official rules. Surely every challenge is a tackle of some kind?

Vidic slid in to get the ball with no danger to Sturridge, if he had not gone down as if he had been touched then no penalty would be given. It really is as simple as that and the sooner we get this out of the game the better. Remember Torres against us, player goes in for tackle and Torres goes down theatrically with no contact. Are we really saying that the ref was right to give the foul because a tackle was made?

Imagine if every slide tackle was given a foul regardless of contact, how ridiculous would that be.

it wasn't an elbow it was a head.
