We're second favourites because of arsenal being arsenal. Its bookies odds, its irrelevant, what happens of the pitch that matters and like it or not, the run of 7 out of 7 is serious form.

and I didn't say people, I said you. People, including me, don't want the rs to succeed because of the total bell end fans and the media [Poor language removed] that will follow, your view is quite bizzare.

martinez will change British football, considering I didn't want him, I now thoroughly believe that what he will achieve at Everton will be something extraordinary; with or without money

I like Martinez and have supported him since day one. He's a great manager in the making. But you are seriously deluded with that stuff.

Wake up and face facts: we need cash...lots of cash. That isn't happening anytime soon.

You can talk all you want about focussing on Everton and you're probably right (I truly wish I could pull that trick off). You're in a dream world thinking it's on the verge of changing for the better for us though.

corrected your mistake there old chap, you seemed to be suggesting there was a possibility of a net spend at Everton for a second

Time will tell. You don't need billions, we've proven that you can go toe to toe with the spenders

We've proven nothing of the sort. We're in a fight for 4th place. If that's 'proof' we're back then Moyes had us 'back' 9 years ago. I must have missed us being back.

We've gone toe to toe with the sky top four away from home, outplayed them in some instances
Win our game in hand, we are 8 points off the top if the table with 4 games left
Won 7 games on the bounce and have one of the best home records in the league

so I'd say yeah, we are proving a lot. And all in his first season of playing attractive attacking football.

We are miles off a breakthrough into the elite.

Anyone who thinks hard work, ingenuity and a bit of luck gets you there whilst millions are disappearing behind the manager's back need their heads feeling.

One thing only will get us back to where we need to be

CASH....tens and probably hundreds of millions of pounds of it.

Following on from reading the last few pages of this thread, this is aimed at no one specifically;

All fans of all clubs are welcome here, however please do not masquerade as an Evertonian - this can be misread as being on a wind up and causes needless tension.

Wind ups and tension take up a lot of time, so under the wonderful catch-all rule of "taking up excessive staff time", you risk a very permanent ban.

Thanks for reading.

People saying they want Liverpool to win because they haven't "bought" the league. Where is this delusion that Liverpool have spent virtually zero money coming from?
Liverpool are big spenders but I think the point is that the two mega-rich clubs are on a different planet to everybody else. Comparatively speaking, Liverpool are the poor relation to those two.

On a broader scale, of course Liverpool aren't church mice. It's relative, I guess.
