The Lukaku negotiations will be important. If we secure him that's half our battle, I think.

Most definitely, the major piece we need to sign this summer. Hopefully Barry will stay on as well, I'm not one for rumours, no idea who is on RM list but i'm sure he'll bolster with quality.

Hopefully better quality than what they are buying over the Park(on topic)

I think he'll look to tie Barry and Lukaku down, promote from within the club and also bolster the squad with bodies like Moloney etc.

I really dont see any marquee signings (Lukaku would be, but no more besides him).

All the talk about big summer spending will come to nothing. This is Everton...where the money tends to disappear.

I see what your saying and If we truly don't spend what is expected this year as we know finances are better, then I think my attitude to the board will change. (wrong thread for this though)

He's came out today saying we'll be using the Loan system again which suggests to me that he's hinting that they'll be no big money signings

Not necessarily maybe it means spending big on quality and loaning for extra numbers, his loans last year were all quality ones except Traore and he got injured so can't say how he may have done.

I'm probably just being negative like , I just have no trust in our current board to back the manager.

But this is for a different discussion anyway ;)

It's not even an argument for me, I hope Suarez goes and it'll only be a case of if Real want him rather than them being able to hold onto him. I see what people are saying about his scoring record in the big games but if he helps destroy the other 15 teams in the league then I wouldn't mind one of those players. I think it'll be similar to Spurs losing Bale, they'll be nowhere near the same side.
