Whichever way you cut it, their first team is going to be severely weakened when he leaves.

Take his 31 league goals out of their side and replace him with a 15 goal man, how many points is that going to end up costing you? Especially when you're as porous as swiss cheese at the back, with a lead legged liability and undroppable icon sat plodding in front of their backline.

They're in for a massive wake up call this season.

Yeah but also a 2nd place league finish, Champions League Qualification, Player of the Year Award and an FA Cup Final, as well as some famous large margin victories over rival clubs.

They will get get a fair bit of cash, but i believe the Yanks will trouser a fair chunk against previous transfer blunders
