ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Everton could and should be okay in the derby. If the Reds get off to a bad start of the season and are stuck needing points they could play themselves out of the game in going for it, bit like the second half of the Chelsea game.

Suarez was never injured; suspended yes, but I cannot recall him missing a game through injury. For this reason, one could reasonably say LFC won't be as good this year as last. Similar scenario to Spurs ex Bale, although I think LFC have recruited better in the sense they've bought players of known PL quality and experience

im not saying that theyll have as good a season as last year, it just makes me laugh when people mock the signings (granted the lovren/lallana fees are ridiculous), when thered be excitement if they came to us. i suppose thats football like. its just they actually have the same target as us, top 4 after all. they know their title chance has gone.

given theres no chance in hell theyll be signing the fabregas/or any world class type players, i honestly do think theyve done pretty well. compared to other windows anyway. just need to look at last summer to see that for them, its been a pretty good haul
Well, look at like this. We have most likely about £30-35m to use this window. If we ended up with Lallana and Lambert or Emre Can, we'd be fking livid.

They've spent in excess of £40m on making Lovren and Sakho their first choice centre half pairing, and have lost their only legit, consistent world class threat up top.

Welcome back to 5th/6th place lads.

yeah £30-35m in their money gets markovic and can - i've never seen either name, even on FM
