A minute silence was held and club ambassador Kenny Dalglish released 96 red balloons.

Their PR people need firing. All well and good visiting people in hospitals, but seriously? A minute of silence for Hillsborough? Haven't they played in the US since 1989? And the Boston bombings little tribute is alright, but it would've been better if they didn't have cameramen at the ready to commemorate the classiest gesture of all time. They're just so over the top.

Thing that really gets me is the word tour on the wreath. By all means drop a wreath, have your name on it to show solidarity and support but why in God's name would you put an unrelated event on it? It's like some kid writing "On tour '94" in a condolence book. It's tasteless.
