The last line saved that from complete disaster.

Ultimately, regarding the Sturridge video, it's best to remember that they are simply young blokes having a laugh. Nothing wrong with that at all.

I know, I know - there's no way they could surpass George Green/ Barkley videos of old for cringiness, in any case.

I just love to hate them.

I don't WANT to hate them. What I really want is for them to miraculously turn into decent human beings so I don't have to.

I want them to acknowledge their fallibilities. I want them to accept a share of the blame for something.

I saw some facebook 'Heysel tributes' from 'supporters' of that shower and most of them had 'YNWA' on it. They can't even fart without adding that disingenuous scumbag threat.

Some have shared the talentless Hooton's blog, accusing him of being 'classy'.

The Vomiteers have totally redefined the words 'never', 'class' and 'dignity' to suit their warped ends. There is a term: 'Humpty-Dumptying':

'When I use a word,’ Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, ‘it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.’

This sums it up for me.
1. ONE friend on my social media marked the anniversary who supports Liverpool.
He is a very respectful lad tbh and stands out a mile in the sea of kopite bile.

The rest - nothing.

Loads of fans from other clubs put up a small RIP message.
People died at a football match and THE VAST MAJORITY pretend it didn't happen.

And they have the ******* cheek to call us bitter.

It's a disgrace that English football doesn't mark the event in anyway at all. There's minutes silences every other game nowadays but not a word about the Heysel disaster. Shameful. I see the Heysel thread is locked in Rawk because they couldn't remain civil. Classy as usual. No one official from the Liverpool or Juventus side have ever confronted what happened. They've turned up for PR purposes every 5 years to the odd mass or service. They both would rather just forget it happened and that is the worst part of all.

What about their "behaviour" in Athens,Christ on a bike with their "history" re: Heysel you'd think they would have keep their heads down, but the usual "Kopite behaviour" ensued,of course this has all been "brushed under the red carpet"again, unless I must have dreamt it all happened.

the fact that the c unts tried to rush gates there says it all about the fkn mentality of some of them

The people now who are decision makers in the broadcast media grew up in the era of Liverpool domination...only another 10 years to wait lads, then the media will have forgotten Liverpool and will be controlled by those who grew up in the era of United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

Only about another 10 years to wait..

I think it's a [Poor language removed] disgrace the way Heysel is forgotten tragedy in football, I really do. No one can ever be allowed to forget what happened at Hillsborough when 96 people died at a football match, yet 39 people die in Brussels because they had the audacity of being Juve supporters and it all gets swept under the rug in England because it was the English that were murders and not the victims.

Disgraceful.

I cringe anytime I watch footage of that tragedy. Seeing supporters run for their lives, being trapped against a wall and people who witnessed the crush crying in hopelessness all while the cops running around like a chicken with their heads cut off because they don't know what the [Poor language removed] to do.

People like to blame the stadium for the tragedy and yeah it was a crap stadium, but the stadium didn't cause the tragedy. LFC fans caused the disaster because they simply didn't know how to behave or because others simply went there for trouble. Everyone behaves and no death. Simple as that. It's not like with Hillsborough where the deaths were caused by poor policing and simply too many people in the central pens of the Leppings Lane terrace.

And i'm not saying this because i'm a bitter or because Heysel denied EFC the chance to compete in the European Cup, it has nothing to do with that. It's about what's right, it's about accountability and all I heard from the bleating, deluded Kopites who live in their own world where YNWA is the anthem and Kenny Dalglish is President and Overlord, is justice for the 96 and holding those involved in the coverup of Hillsborough while never apologizing for their role Heysel and never admitting their fans screwed up big time. Sorry it's hard to show the amount of sympathy you want me to give when four years before that you were involved in a similar situation where you were the attackers and not the victims and not a peep from the Anfield faithful.

My heart goes out to the families of the 96 and no one else. That's fair.

But hey what do I know? I'm just a bitter and a yank. According to the Kopites, the disaster was caused by a crap stadium, supporters from other clubs like Charlton and Chelsea coming to start trouble and that the Kopites fought back because a 12 year old boy was getting beat up by Juve supporters, the Kopites were absolute saints in those whole disaster.

Like I said: Disgraceful.

TBH the two disasters are a lot more alike than is represented - Heysel was and was known to be fundamentally unsafe; as was a ground where one decision from Duckenfield resulted in 96 deaths, and only better decisions made in 1981 prevented a load of Spurs fans being killed.

I suppose that in one sense the Police cover-up was massively successful, in that the FA and Sheffield Wednesday have never faced the degree of criticism that they perhaps should have for what went on there.
