ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Right. It's like this.

Rodgers banged on about bringing Sterling through slowly, overseeing his development, easy does it. He advised the FA to proceed with caution regarding Sterling's international career. He warned of 'burning out'.

The same man then played Sterling in as many games as possible. HE has burnt Sterling out. Sterling is mentally 'tired' as a direct result of Rodgers' mismanagement.

Sterling is not the player he was 12 months ago. This is not down to his 'attitude'. He is 'spent' and Rodgers has thrown him under the bus to cover for what is really abuse of an employee.

Playing the occasional game and coming off the bench is PERFECT for his development.

LFC and their management are 100% responsible for the state of this young man's career as it stands.

And their fans are too stupid to see it.
nar mate, that 122 minutes he played against Boro midweek in the League Cup was essential for his development.

Surprised most think hes a very good player to be honest, his out put from 18-20 has been terrific given hes just finished his second full season, hes not far of some really big hitters in the league, i think his output would have been even better if not for the shenannigans going on at Norway/England/contract/ being played at right back.

He has 15 years of a career in front of him, 35 - 40 mill for my money. Anything else is a premium.
15 years? I highly doubt it. Players that dependent on pace don't age well.

We're banger!

I don't agree to be honest. I think it's better for him to stay there for a season or two more

Don't get me wrong, I'll be thrilled if he doesn't as he's a good player and it'll hurt them to lose him, but I think the best thing for him is to stay and I think both the club and his agent have let him down here

I don't think theres much chance of him staying with them tbh after all the trouble. Ive no doubt a few of the shirt burning psychos would take him back if he did a U turn like they did with Gerrard, but hes been very affected by it all. I don't concern myself too much with what 'the sailor on shore leave' will do with his war-chest millions he gets from FSG....they wont let him panic buy after getting knock backs like he did with the Suarez money.
