Are they going to stop Sky advertising gambling companies during their TV coverage of the PL.……didn’t think so.
Sky sports app is full of skybet odds and advertising but that is fine it seems. I couldn’t name three clubs with gambling sponsors as I pay no attention to them. I think the advertising on football shirts is nothing in comparison to the actual gambling advertising in other parts of the game.I take it Skybet and all the rest will be banned also ?
Exactly.
Absolute 'kin hypocrites.
This is the scum that found Everton wanting and referred them to a commission. They stand in judgement of us.
You couldn't make it up.
Enablers for beheading regimes, hedge funds (AKA big time gambling for the mega rich, and Russian oligarchs...until they shat themselves when the sanctions began.
It's a racket to stop a cartel from frigging off to a Euro scab league. That's all.Would they be doing it if City, Utd, Spurs, Mordor and Chelsea were sponsored by gambling companies.
Im no lover of gambling, but I’m more offended when I see Sponsorship on shirts from countries with more then questionable human right records, respect for diversity etc.
This just funnels, 8 clubs who wouldn’t be commercial giants into a limited market space in a limited time to plug a good 10-20 mill in their finances - good job their aren’t rules around that.
I don’t think the Premier League can dictate TV advertising rules although they could have gone further by banning gambling advertising at the grounds and shirt sleeves. Are they going to stop Sky advertising gambling companies during their TV coverage of the PL.……didn’t think so.
Exactly.FFS they show Everton and interview Dyche about it on the national news, this is like the other week when they were going on about teams flying short distance: everyone does it but they feature Everton.
It's a token gesture isn't it?
And as you say - a move which inevitably aids more clubs than others.
At least we won't have to endorse it on the front of our shirts - I hate the fact that we had to crawl into bed with a scummy gambling company
