All teams try to gain any advantage they can and players will go to ground easily. I don't think many people like it very much. The worst example of that in this tournament was Immobile against Belgium. The one last night was at least debatable. The Immobile one was pure cheating.

Re last night, some of the players in the England team, I don't understand how they get in. Mount and Rice do nothing offensively other than pass sideways - If ENG wants to beat Italy, imo they need to be removed from the starting lineup.

It was debatable. People are debating it. Ipso facto it is debatable. It was also given, both by the referee and then reviewed by VAR. Whether it was a penalty or not is a matter of opinion. Uefa has charged England after a laser pointer was directed at Denmark goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel during Wednesday's Euro 2020 semi-final.

Television pictures showed a green light on Schmeichel's face just before Harry Kane took an extra-time penalty.
Schmeichel saved the spot-kick, but Kane scored the rebound as England won 2-1 at Wembley to reach the final.
