Southgate’s tactics were defo awful, but we were a well-defended corner away from winning it in the 90. Very fine margins and knockout tournament football is an unforgiving beast. He’ll learn from this and hopefully we’ll go again at the WC.

Hope there aren’t too many sore heads/sad faces amongst you lot this morning. Up and at ‘em, and all that!
 
GS says he's picked all takers. Well of course he will say that. Doubt if Sterling, Grealish, Shaw, Philipps or Stone did say that they are not keen, and he had to choose Saka, Sancho etc ahead of them, he wasn't going say "some experienced players didn't want to take any, our hands were tied" was he

Oh, I totally agree with some of the stuff he’s put out today Bruce.

The final was similar to when we went 1-0 up after a few seconds against Chelsea when King Louis scored in the FA Cup final.
Didn’t know what to do next did we.

Maguire stood up . Never a big fan of him , till then .
 
Well said Danny Baker. We lost last night due to Southgates scaredy-cat tactics.

The means to win that game we’re sitting on our bench but he didn’t change things until it was too late.

We do however lack a “complete” midfielder that’s why he ended up playing wing backs and 2 defensive midfielders.

Roll on the World Cup!

True but Rice was blowing out of his arse. Partly because he doesn't know when to stop. Partly because Mount (who I like) was virtually absent from the game. Should have brought Bellingham on

First half when Kane was dropping back and pulling Chielini and Bonucci out of their comfort zone, we looked in control. Probably could have done more if Sterling hadn't had his worst game of the tournament and Mount remembered he was on the pitch for a game of footie.

Second half we dropped too deep and Kane (or Southgate) decided it would be better to lose aerial duels against the most experienced centre back pairing in the world.

Congratulations to Italy. Deserved champions. Best team of the tournament.

And congratulations to Davek for finally getting a prediction right.

Rashford has scored that pen 99 times out of 100, just last night it was that one time it went wrong

Dunno if Sancho takes pens for Dortmund but if he does it’s the same thing, that wasn’t even a bad pen either just Donnaruma guessed correctly

Bellingham will be that midfielder I reckon.

To be fair, he could quite of easily have done a Chris Waddle with that kick as well. Always a bit more luck involved in penalties than we like to imagine.
