Better team won on the day.

Sat way too deep in the second half but extra time could have gone either way and we stepped it up a bit. Hindsight is a great thing but maybe it was the wrong the choice, I say maybe as it is no guarantee that Sterling & Grealish would have scored.

Have to look at the positives and say that this is a young team that could easily come out of this stronger as individuals and as a team. A lot of talent on the bench, hopefully Southgate or whoever, is not afraid to use them in the future.

First half when Kane was dropping back and pulling Chielini and Bonucci out of their comfort zone, we looked in control. Probably could have done more if Sterling hadn't had his worst game of the tournament and Mount remembered he was on the pitch for a game of footie.

Second half we dropped too deep and Kane (or Southgate) decided it would be better to lose aerial duels against the most experienced centre back pairing in the world.

Congratulations to Italy. Deserved champions. Best team of the tournament.

Yeah, Sterling was utterly Gassed and Kane looked isolated the second half onwards (and gassed). Rice was getting carried away first half, once he'd beaten one man a quicker release would have served him and England well.

Hendo offered nothing though. I expected more from the emeritus, nexus big bad meta-leader and Captain of Liverpool. He's like, some sort of Thor level Avenger player if legend is to be believed lol.

What about people who are working, decide to have kids, then get laid off. Or have an accident or fall ill.

And if, for arguments sake we say parents who can't afford to feed kids are all irresponsible, is that the kids' fault? Just a thought.
 
Disappointed because I thought the stars had aligned somewhat...the draw, travel, home advantage. The fragile 'top two inches' exposed again. I remain unimpressed with the manager.

Italy were arguably there for the taking first half. Second half the way england came out was like watching Everton. Was never going to work against Italy, who have bags of talent but also that "matchplay specialist" nous.

We do however lack a “complete” midfielder that’s why he ended up playing wing backs and 2 defensive midfielders.

We do have a complete midfielder in Jack Grealish.

The moment he came on last night, Italy dropped deeper and we started to retain possession again and as usual he drew foul after foul.

Southgate just didn`t have the bottle to either start him or bring him on earlier.
