Checked RAWK to gauge their thoughts on this - half of them being sound tbf and seeing this for what it really is, a disgrace. Others though, jesus christ - “we have outgrown the PL” / “after the performance of the PL this weekend we should definitely leave” - absolute embarrassment.

There are some grounded people on there to be fair, they just have their standard absolutely weapons who belong in a cult I.e. “we have outgrown the Prem”, but most hated the project “big picture”. I think the majority of the weirdos are probably the mutants who think the league is fixed and they’re universally hated.

It´d be a circus. Any sense of tradition gone.

I do agree the Champions League needs restructuring though. Mainly by scaling it back because the group stage is a complete waste of time. Go back to knockouts from the first round. Not that it´d ever happen because that wouldn´t generate more money.

They'll go the other way. They'll make the group stage matter buy further scaling back the amount of teams from outside the big 5 leagues who can make it.
