Surely we can all agree that @Adversus is right and Mourinho is wrong...as is Carnerio...FIFA...and the British medical council...as well as everyone else on here...

.. plus even the ones who agree with him on minor points...

...and just move one because it's easier for the Internet.

Never! Adversus sowed the wind, now let him reap the whirlwind! With cheese on toast for all!

Speaking as someone who has taken a medical role on the sideline in sports, I have a professional and ethical duty to do what is best for the health of those players.
It's the same with Eva, she is beckoned on by the referee as per her role to provide medical care for those players. To fail to go on and treat the player is a dereliction of that duty and the medical values and ethics associated with her role.
What the manager thinks about it is neither here nor there, she must go on that field to treat the player.
For Jose to then turn around and hammer her for it publicly is petty and disrespectful of her role and indeed the medical society. She has simply done the right thing and what was needed in that situation.

Oh and @Adversus

Following your logic, if I ask my lawyer or accountant to do something unlawful or unethical, he should just do it, because he's in my employ and what I say goes.

Standing up to Mourinho was going to cause tension because he is an egoistical asshat, but she was 100% right in defending her prioritization of the patient. Telling a physician they should consider the "tactical situation" over the care of a patient is incredibly offensive and inappropriate.

The problem, ultimately, is owners, players, the national football associations and FIFA have allowed managers to override, question and meddle in medical decisions for far too long.
We've been over this it's not unlawful and whether it's unethical is debatable however it's a decision team medical staff have to make all the time and are often fired because the manager isn't happy. Martinez fired his last year.

Basically it's a case of a manager having a go at his medical staff, the media making a huge deal about it because she's a woman and her publicly embarrassing him after the fact. She doesn't have an unfair dismissal case any more than every other physio who has been fired would have one.

Wise up. It's football and you are all acting like everyone is holier than thou.

A lot of people on this forum would love Mourinho to be managing us because he's a winner. He wins at all costs. This is just another example of it. Should players not dive or play act, should they not intentionally wind each other up etc

This is the dark arts of the game. It's not wrong our right morally when the only thing that matters is you win. If she didn't want to work for Chelsea and Mourinho under those conditions she probably should be working somewhere else.

I don't disagree with that but the way Mourinho plays the game he considers everything and expects his staff to as well.

The fault of her's was the fact she didn't let it lie and went on Facebook thanking those that had supported her. It was a [Poor language removed] you to Mourinho. She can't do that and expect to get away with it.

No as that is cheating, I suppose players should be able to handle the ball or maybe punch each other to get an adaantage.

Seriously one of the most idiotic comments in the longest line of idiotic comments known this side of sun.

Holier than thou? Saying that a medical personnel is obliged to treat their patient (I know that isn't football terms but that is what it is) is appareently holier than thou, see above statement for my opinion on this comment as well.

If everybody just surrendered to superiors we would live in one hell of a subordinate world, I always question my manager(s) when I believe I am right. I am so glad I don't have you as a boss.

All she did was thank people who had taken time out to support her in a very public 'telling off'.

I admire your stubborness, in fact it has given me many smiles over the last 24 hours, but please just give up.
