Everton confirm rejecting 28M for both Fellaini and baines

Tom Ince has quick feet like Deulofeu. He can finish from outside the box and create chances. He'd be a great signing.

Martínez has been linked with the Blackpool winger Tom Ince and added: "Tom is an outstanding footballer but [there is] nothing else [to say]. I think it is unfair to talk about players who are fighting to get points for other clubs."

If they offer £40 million for them both then I think they are gone to be honest

I hope Kenwright's a bit better at negotiating than that.... although previous evidence is very much to the contrary.

If the £38m bid for the two of them is true (and it appears not to be), our answer should be "You can have Fellaini at that price. Just Fellaini." IMHO we should not even acknowledge any offer for Baines. In fact, I'd give him the captaincy.

There is NO sense in selling Felli for less than £30m now, when he has three years left on his contract and a WC less than a year away. And considering the sell-on clause to Standard, there's no sense in selling him for less than £30m at ANY time. We should be mimicking the stance Spurs have taken with Bale, and gouge the life out of the prospective buyer's wallet - we could use three more players coming in, plus one more if Felli goes, and we'll need hefty funds to finance such moves.

£38M for Baines and Felli is not an acceptable offer.

Evidence?

I posted why are our players under valued and got shot down.

Rooney -30mil
Lescott-24mil
Arteta-10mil
Rodwell-14mil

Alan Stubbs the latest in a long line to have a pop at man U this morning about their opening bid.

Let's face it, for the right money they are gone.

of course they are gone if the right money comes in. but the right money isnt there and thats the only issue. will it be? expecting man u to up their bid by 10-15m in a matter of 10 days of offering 28m seems unlikely.

It looks like after everything that was said from our part and how the media handled the situation and even how United fans reacted, United will not be back for Baines or Fellaini

Arteta for £10m? I agree with you on Lescott and Rodwell, though.

Arteta was a great bit of business by us mate, he was a bit gash the last 12 months with us, nearing 30, and tbh the last chance we had to sell, didnt impact the team at all losing him, on the other hand fact that the money for him dissapeared to pay of the debt was the ****ty thing about the whole saga

I suppose what I SHOULD have said was "I hope Kenwright takes a bullish attitude similar to Levy, and squeezes Utd for every penny they've got."

For the record I think we could, and should, have got more for Rooney, Arteta and Rodwell. Maybe not loads more, but another £12m between the three would not have been outlandish.

The fact remains, we should be asking £40m for Felli (and expecting bids in excess of £30m as a result) and ignoring any bids for Baines.

arteta we got lowballed, i agree.

rooney was unusual - had a blazing euros, we had just finished 17th and had been relegation strugglers for the years prior to that. also he only had 2 years left on contract which he was never going to extend.

stretching my memory back now but i seem to recall newcastle blowing the whole thing open by making a bid for rooney, which man u were then forced to counter.

Hard to know what we'll do

Keep them both, pull up the shutters and say it's too late to sell now. Then bring in a couple of loans and integrate Barkley, Stones and Deulofeu. Maybe play Pienaar centrally.

Of consider

If they stay we'll have all this in the January window again. Would it best to take 38m today than hold out for maybe 40m on deadline day. If we're going to try to play a new way, then it's a medium to long term thing and it needs funding.

Who knows
