Everton confirm rejecting 28M for both Fellaini and baines

I suppose what I SHOULD have said was "I hope Kenwright takes a bullish attitude similar to Levy, and squeezes Utd for every penny they've got."

For the record I think we could, and should, have got more for Rooney, Arteta and Rodwell. Maybe not loads more, but another£12m between the three would not have been outlandish.

The fact remains, we should be asking £40m for Felli (and expecting bids in excess of £30m as a result) and ignoring any bids for Baines.

Tbh mate im not gonna get into the where the money went debate as its another subject entirely, but the money recieved for both Arteta and Rodwell was imo the type of deals spurs do all the time, we did get top whack for them both given their 1. current form and 2. Importance to the team.

Rooney on the other hand, its hard to say in hindsight, but have to remember the fact the club financially was a lot more ****ed than it is even now back then, but yeah that was hugely less than his true worth in hindsight

Evidence?

I posted why are our players under valued and got shot down.

Rooney -30mil
Lescott-24mil
Arteta-10mil
Rodwell-14mil

Rooney was 21 million with add ons to 27 million yet Newcastle offered us 30 million straight cash -? BK told us Rooney would not be sold for 50 million! BK is the big worry over any big deal!

Getting really fed up with this. Man U and our EX are pushng us to deadline day which will give us no time to sort out replacements. Our EX should be reminded about the Lescott sga.

I think the money's simply not on the table, and isn't going to be.

Evidence in support of this includes both players continuing to be treated as integral members of the first team squad; no serious attempts to buy replacements in advance of the sale (a la spurs/bale) and our manager making constant noises about wanting to improve the squad prior to the windows close, which he cant really as the money isn't there, our labeling of the Man Utd bid as derisory, and going public with it, which suggests that there are no negotiations going on the background to improve it, otherwise we wouldn't damage the situation if an acceptable offer was about to be made, and lastly but not least - the idea that Man Utd are going to suddenly up their derisory bid into something more serious within 10 days of making a farcical one.

I know it's negative but ffs we know one or both are going to leave, can't they just go today, it's taking way longer than it should to be sorted and I don't want us rushing or overpaying for replacements.
