Everton confirm rejecting 28M for both Fellaini and baines

It's all just a bit silly really. Moyes set there prices pretty much, it's not like we'v all of a sudden added 5M on each players value. He knows what we would sell for most likely 15M and 23.5M which would of been the prices if he were still boss. I really don't know if he's in charge of this pursuit or Woodward but there being bell ends.

If they wanted the players badly enough they would of just payed there values and have it tied up by now. Baines and fellaini should take note!

I know the stats say that Baines created huge amounts of chances last season but we don't really have anyone to get on the end of them and, to the naked eye, it seems to me like he's not bombing forward like he used to. I'm not sure whether he's being more cautious because Coleman is raiding forward down the other side or teams are focussing on stopping him.

For some reason he seems to have been ousted from freekick duty too.

If he wants to go and the offer is acceptable, I don't have too much of a problem with it. He definitely deserves the chance to play at the very top and he could fade for us in the next couple of seasons anyway, as he'll be 29 before Christmas and playing wingback takes a lot of stamina.

We already have a ready-made replacement in Oviedo, who has been impressive whenever I've seen him and needs first-team football. We could spend the £15m or so from Baines on a striker and arguably strengthen the side. At least we'd be refreshing it and bringing the average age down.

I love these posts, Footy manager slangs or not!

Personally I'd love to add Heitinga and jelavic to the outgoings giving us around 45M.

Alderweireld 6M
Another LB 5M
Barry Loan
Mcarthy 10M
Moses 8M
Striker Fund of around 10M or maybe Defoe at 5Mish

Funds left over for jan/add to next season

we've already got enough average british players, last thing we need is more.

I'd accept £38 million (£23-24m Fellaini & £14-15m Baines) is not a bad deal, depending on who we have lined up. If its

Ince £8m
Alderweireld £6m
McCarthy £12m
Another CM (tough tackling, pacy) £10m
Moses loan
Barry loan

That would seriously strengthen the team and squad but if we miss out on some signings and end up with McCarthy, Barry and the "there wasn't much else out there" statement then it would be a disaster. We definitely need to get the players in before we let both go.

That's a lot of wages mate, significantly more than we'd free up selling Baines and Felli. And £38m in does not mean £38m to spend, because of the sell-on due to Standard Liege.

Furthermore, in your scenario we are left light at LB, with no alternative to Oviedo if he gets injured, suspended or turns out to suck.

For those reasons, I would not accept £38m for the two of them. £30m+ for Felli, yes. £20m+ for Baines, yes. Nothing less, either individually or in combination.

Just tell Man Utd and Moyes to koff. It is too late to bid our best players. They aren't for sale at this stage.

If Martinez signs another player from Wigan, he should be sacked.

BK- he has gone missing as usual! or is just going to ignore it keep them both - then after the deadline day have his say - DM has gone down in my eyes as a credible manager if he was still here he would be wanting 40 million + for both of them he turned the SAF offer down last season! Remember Davy boy EFC players don't come cheap!

It's like BK & Co. are afraid of pissing Man Utd and Moyes off. Just tell them to koff! It isn't that hard to do.
