Everton confirm rejecting 28M for both Fellaini and baines

It would a better window than the alternative one where we sell Fellaini and Baines for less than £40m combined. :@

I think the alternative one is more likely unfortunately. Felli I could begrudging put up with but both would be a nightmare especially this close to the window.

taking both on the last day would not only be putting a dagger in our back but would be twisting the dagger as well from our beloved David - blue eyed "Everton Boy"

Ah I get your point now. To some extent I'd agree. I'd still rather get in some players who can finish the chances he creates ... maybe with the Felli money if one has to be sold.

It's not just the literal impact of losing two great players which worries me; it's the knock-on effect of being such a clear selling club. What happens next year with Mirallas? Coleman? Barkley? How do we sit with a straight face and get them to stay when in the last window we shipped off two of our best players?

I think that Felli was always going to go at some point and, as he (alledgedly) said himself, he's gone as far as he can with us. His value will be at about it's peak now, so it would make sense all round.

Baines is another matter. If we wants to stay then I don't think that he'll be sold against his will. But, if he's decided that he wants to leave, it would be churlish to keep him.

We've had a settled team for a long time under Moyes but that might not necessarily be the best way of doing things. Arsenal regularly sell on their best players each year and always reach the group stages of the CL. They're in a healthy position financially. And Spurs signings will be funded by the sale of Bale. We don't have a benefactor, so why not follow the example of our closest rivals?

In terms of Moyes own attitude towards Baines and Fellaini - his view is along the lines of well I took the club for a ride, walked out because I felt like it, with no negative consequences, why shouldn't Baines and Fellaini - players whose development I was solely responsible for - be allowed the same right. I played Bill like a fiddle, how dare Everton now, after I've already successfully taken the piss out of them, try and get a high price for the two players - after all, I walked out for no/limited compensation.

Can see Fellaini being sold but at what price I've no idea.
However should that fee be £25 million, then having cost us a reputed £17.5 million (with add ons), leaving us a meagre £7.5 million profit, 10% of which goes to liege, 750,000 in total. Not the £2.5 million as some have posted on here.
Hope this clears a few things up.

Another day passes by and the paranoia will reach a crescendo as we near the end of the window. As far as I'm concerned if they ain't sold tomorrow then they shouldn't be going anywhere unless an absolute ridiculous offer comes in and when I mean ridiculous I mean 50 mil for the pair otherwise there is absolutely no point in selling without having major dollar to throw a few bids in for replacements. At the very least we should have 2 players in on loan and thats the bare minimum and a joke itself considering we have spent approx 6-7 mil so far. I've said it a few times but I don't mind saying it again. **** off Moyes, **** off Utd.
