£50M for the pair! Thats more like it BK...has he grown some b0llocks over the summer?

Ill show me ar5e if we get £50M though.

Think Fellaini will go for circa £25m and Baines will stay tbh

What would be the point of letting him go for £25m? The sell on clause would take £2m of that away, leaving £23m to buy 4 players, with two days of the window left to do it. Madness.

Kudos to Kenwright for setting the £50m price tag.... personally I would tell them it's £35m for either of them individually, and neither will be available at ANY price come midnight.

SELLING LOW WOULD BE WORSE THAN NOT SELLING AT ALL.

By all accounts theres a lot in place so that replacements can be brought in quickly, a lot quicker than they would of under Moyes.

He'll go for £23m though, we all know it. Ridiculous really as, with it being 3 days left, he should be going for a lot more. Come on Arsene, panic buy.

Anyone reckon we've got three or four players lined up (in addition to Barry), IF we should accept a £45m+ bid in the coming few days? As in, we're in dialogue with the agents of some £10m-ish left back, midfielder, striker, centre back. I hope so, because I'm afraid we'll sell for £45m on sunday/monday and up with f*** all before january.

Moyes is playing us like a piano, he knows how our club operates better than all of us. Moyes, is the ultimate corporate man and acting like it with no regards to us anymore.

When he accepted the job, Kenwright should have had security escort him off the premises from the off. Instead, he let him stay around the players and thought they were mates. Was it Kenwright who said that Moyes had agreed not to go after Baines and Fellaini as well??

I forgot to add, we should have given a United a deadline of last Monday to got a deal sorted, after that we shut down the barriers.

The sad thing is, we already need an additional centre midfielder without selling Fellaini and no doubt the reason we have not acquired one already is due to our cash flow. Once again we will be running around the shops last minute on xmas eve searching through the dregs to get ourselves sorted.

Absolutely. And no one point a gun to Kenwright's head with the sale of Fellaini. We shall not entertain Man Utd.

Is there still time for Bayern to come in again for Baines I wonder? And before anyone repeats the 'Baines doesn't want to leave' stuff, it is a fact that he wanted the opportunity to speak to them when they made their enquiry but Moyes put the blocker on it! Ironic isn't it?

I think Baines going to Utd would be a mistake in that the man in possession of the LB spot there at the moment is himself an excellent player and short of Baines playing out of his skin every week (and avoiding injury) there's no guarantee of him being a regular and so much less chance of him securing the England LB spot.

I like Baines as a player and I like his public persona. But for us to keep him will be costly. Because this time next year he'll have only 12 months left on his contract. His transfer value will then be only a few million. So us keeping him for just one more season will cost us around £10m in reduced transfer value on top of the £2m+ wages over the current season. Is he worth £12m for one season?

If Fellaini and Baines are sold for merely £40m, would you say Kenwright is a tough negotiator?

I think that IF they go, and I have doubts...and BK is saying £50 million....the actual figure could be £40 million or a shade over. If you read my last line, I think thats always the key were BK is concerned...he is ruthless in his day job,and the toughest around, but when it comes to football, his heart rules his head because he loves the game. This is why the claims that he is holding out for massive personal profit from any sale are way off the mark...its other directors/shareholders who want a bigger pie to slice up. Bill has always known that the club cannot progress, in reality, without a massive investment...he said it from day one.

"Moyes is playing Kenwright like a piano " why ?
Which players has he signed from us ?
He made a bid which I believe he wanted the players to know about, but not the public .
Everton made the detail of the bid public and it reflected badly on Moyes, leaving him to justify the bid through the media.

If the stories are true his next bid has risen from somewhere between 8m-10m which is a gigantic rise and an acceptance that the players will not be cheap. I think now that 40m is probably the figure with 25m for Fellaini and 15m for Baines anything above that is a bonus.
If the players are agitating for a move that weakens our hand.

So far, I would say we are playing this very well and Utd look cheap and desperate.

So a reported 36 Mill has been turned down for our two players. Still not enough IMO s/b 45/50 mill atleast. Man U are making their squad stonger on the cheap while we have to pay through the nose for lesser quality.

Note in the comments Martinez leaving it all upto BK and he has no input, WHAT?? We have a manger who has no balls and TBH after losing out to 2 inferior PL teams and only just beating a nonentity would appear to be clueless as well.

As for McCarhty what is it with RM, he is so desperate to get him and will let us pay over the odds.

Come may I think we will be in mid table obscurity and remain there for the next few years, any hopes of Europe we can forget.
