"Moyes is playing Kenwright like a piano " why ?
Which players has he signed from us ?
He made a bid which I believe he wanted the players to know about, but not the public .
Everton made the detail of the bid public and it reflected badly on Moyes, leaving him to justify the bid through the media.

If the stories are true his next bid has risen from somewhere between 8m-10m which is a gigantic rise and an acceptance that the players will not be cheap. I think now that 40m is probably the figure with 25m for Fellaini and 15m for Baines anything above that is a bonus.
If the players are agitating for a move that weakens our hand.

So far, I would say we are playing this very well and Utd look cheap and desperate.

They're not - and they won't! To demand a transfer a few hours before a window shuts would make them look like utter planks.

NO transfer requests; we're in a position of massive power on this.

If we keep them, we have played a blinder. But this should have been sorted earlier in the week to give us time to sort replacements. If we were to sell them in the next few days, our window of opportunity to replace them is tiny.

As for United looking cheap and desperate, they will not be arsed as long as they acquire the two players. That's their end game, whats ours???

So a reported 36 Mill has been turned down for our two players. Still not enough IMO s/b 45/50 mill atleast. Man U are making their squad stonger on the cheap while we have to pay through the nose for lesser quality.

Note in the comments Martinez leaving it all upto BK and he has no input, WHAT?? We have a manger who has no balls and TBH after losing out to 2 inferior PL teams and only just beating a nonentity would appear to be clueless as well.

As for McCarhty what is it with RM, he is so desperate to get him and will let us pay over the odds.

Come may I think we will be in mid table obscurity and remain there for the next few years, any hopes of Europe we can forget.

Well that will be you off the bandwagon then. Don't forget to close the door on your way out.

£50m I would be very pleased with, being honest, as long as the replacements are there and ready to go. Although, with names like McCarthy bandied about, it'll be a nervous wait to see where the money goes. I'm sure United would never go that high, but I think that price tag would ensure they'd have to hit 40-odd million to be able to get to the table with us. I also have to admit, if these £50m demands are true, credit has to go to Kenwright. He'll have proved many people wrong, including myself.

It is a tad strange that Martinez doesn't want any control over this situation at all. Does he not particularly rate the two or something? I doubt that, but still, I don't really understand it. Has he planned for every possible situation or is he waiting to see what happens and putting off planning until things come to a conclusion? I'm not sure I like the idea of the manager leaving everything up to our board although they are playing this pretty well so far.

Anyone reckon we've got three or four players lined up (in addition to Barry), IF we should accept a £45m+ bid in the coming few days? As in, we're in dialogue with the agents of some £10m-ish left back, midfielder, striker, centre back. I hope so, because I'm afraid we'll sell for £45m on sunday/monday and up with f*** all before january.

If we believe what the media and twitter saying:

Barry on loan
McCarthy 15M rising to 20M
Tom Ince 8M rising to 10M

They will only leave at the price that works for Everton now. We have turned down 36m allegedly, so for me the club are doing nothing wrong.

I think that we are obviously working on replacements as Martinez has said he has contingency plans.

We still have a lot of good players at the club and with this money we have a chance to add a few more.

Untied will not offer 50M

What's interesting is that Moyes and United are not separating the bids, as if they are saying "either both or none"

I doubt they will offer anything more than 40M-42M

I'm abit worried about Martinez latest comments, especially this bit. "I have had enough of 'he said this, he said that'. This is a really sensitive situation because you're talking of a chairman and previous manager (Moyes) who had a relationship over 11 years. A lot of things have been said in public and I don't want to be part of that. I'm out of it. But I have never had any instruction that anything has changed. Don't know what to make of this

Nonsense - you have an ex-manager speaking to national press, accusing small time Everton of holding two players back whilst bidding an absolute pittance for their service.

None of that is Kenwrights doing.

But there has been no refute from Kenwright. When I look at Martinez' comments, it looks to me as if he hasn't been supported by Kenwright. He was quite bullish before, but now saying he wants nothing to do with it.

We must have players lined up. We have put up with a lot of sh** over the years in terms of late transfers out and the money going missing (negredo, ofoe etc...) but if we lose our best 2 players and don't bring at least 4 in it will be an absolute shambles
