We would never get 50 million, I would take 40 million for the following reasons, both want to go, Baines only got two years left on his contract and is 30 next Christmas, so his money could buy us another young left back. The pienaar and Baines partnership will be coming to an end soon anyway. Time for new ideas.

Take your points about Baines and Pienaar not having a lot of time left though. For that reason we should hold out for £50m, because whoever we go after will not be cheap at this stage of the window.
