Everton confirm rejecting 28M for both Fellaini and baines

Ok does anyone wonder why there is no bidding war for Baines? Why are we not having to battle it out with multiple clubs for his signature?

I'm very aware of not wanting to be too annoying about a player that you clearly love but nobody else rates him as highly as you lads do and I suspect that's because he's a local lad and with all due respect you're a bit short on players that you can worship at the moment.

Evra had one bad season 2011/12 and other than that he's been flawless for us playing at the highest level of competition year in and year out.

The lad turned down a move to Bayern Munich not too long ago. It's not like there are loads of clubs who are realistically going to be in for him.

Chelsea have Cole, Arsenal have a younger player in Gibbs who Wenger clearly rates. Mancini also fancied Baines when he was at City.

No point in going down that road, it does not depreciate his actual true value in the market.

Make no mistake, Moyes is cacking it over not signing anyone of note. He's desperate, and we need to treat him as such.

This, all day long. Really need to take advantage of the fact Moyes NEEDS this to go through. He can't afford to fail, so we need to squeeze every last penny out of Utd

Right everybody calm down, move away from your keyboards and don't do anything stupid.

I'm not disrespecting Baines here, I'm supporting Paddy who is a top left back and in no way needs replacing. He's clearly going to be whether you or I like it, there's a depressing air of inevitability about this deal.

Moyes is supposed to be a top scouter of European talent, I was excited about who he'd fill the midfield with, I wasn't hoping for Fellaini.

Not being funny but I'll be disgusted if we pay more then £40 million for these two. Baines we straight up do not need, ridiculous waste of money and Fellaini is about our 14th choice and my personal 34th choice.

Stop being mean and give us them for 35m.

If you don't need Baines and Fellaini is your 34th choice, you shouldn't spend 35M, you shouldn't even sign them on a free transfer

You and manager are desperate for both of them, we all watched the game on Monday against Chelsea and everybody saw how you lack in every department, without Rooney and RVP you are a mid-table team, so if you want the 2 best players from a top 6 team, you will pay over the odds for them, if not, we won't sell, go find other targets 3 days before the window closes

It comes down to the simple fact Baines is worth so much more to us than he is to a top team. He is the attacking fulcrum of our team. At a club full of top-quality players he'd just be the left back; a top-quality left back, yes, but not the player they'd look to drive the team forward by the scruff of its neck like we do. You can see how true this is when you watch him play for England

Aye nothing wrong with feeling that way at all. Considering the wealth he's had at his disposal this is a poor window for Moyes when it gets to the end and he's having to throw more and more money at Fellaini and Baines. Especially when you've seen some players for similar fees before them.

No offence mate, but you come across as an atypical United fan - woefully naive about every player under the sun who doesn't play at Old Trafford or, at a stretch, Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Baines would improve your title chances drastically just through the attacking option he gives that Evra doesn't even come close to providing. Fellaini is a stunning player and would be an automatic starter in your midfield for a good eight years.

Your real issue is not the quality of the players; it's that both players play for "little old Everton".

Your best player over the last decade by a mile came from "little old Everton", perhaps you should remember that.

Absolute nonsense. We have the best centre half pairing in the league by a million miles, Rafael is the best young defender in the country, Carrick is one of the best midfielders in the league, our keeper is the best young keeper in the world and when on form Nani is world class though he is extremely inconsistent.

It's not about United though

Because mate hes also known to be very set in his ways and not liking to uproot his family etc from the north, immediately narrow down the list a LOT of potential suitors, was only 2 years ago Bayern where trying to buy him mate, who right now are the best team in footy and pretty sure they rated him highly, one reason we rate him so highly is we see him 90 minutes a game week in week out mate, youll find the more sensible of us dont overate and are pretty fair on what we rate our players like but baines is that good trust me

He's not condescended Everton here, lay off lids, he's been honest enough about his opinion. United should have either had this business wrapped up beards ago or had potentially better players by now. Poor transfer window for them.
