This question is about people seeing success differently ie is another huge leap in disparity between the clubs success? Some people would rather succeed themselves, others buzz of the failure of those around them.

Complete delusion saying what they do doesn't impact on us just look at the threads that surround them on this site and they've done nothing - YET!
As I said previously I reckon age and location colours your view.
What's your thinking?Everton finishing 4th would help Everton more than Liverpool missing out on the title would help Everton. It's that simple.
Lost for words hereIt'd be very strange if the situation occured where City scored the winner at GP. I'd never, ever cheer another side to score against us, BUT, it'd feel very strange
4th isn't really succedding though is it.Some people would rather succeed themselves, others buzz of the failure of those around them.

The title is infinitely, incomparably better. To be satisfied with our lot because we're 4th instead of 5th whilst they lift the legaue shows just how far our ambitions have fallen.

Because if was there for that match and City would score a last minute winner, I'd be devastated. In fact, I'll be fuming in front of the telly over here.really, why?
Pretty much how I feel mate. It's the league title, it's the greatest accomplishment in football. Versus 4th place. Which gets you a qualifying round tie.Why are those actions mutually exclusive? It's all about levels - 4th place for Everton is, for me, on a much lower level than that lot winning the title. But I wouldn't be arsed about them finishing 2nd, or winning the League Cup, or getting to the Champions League semi finals or whatever. But there's certain things that take precedence - pretty much a league title or Champions League win. I'd forego runners-up for Everton in those competitions if it meant that lot won them.
