May as well pop these here and re-visit at the end of the transfer window, thanks for the info @Theoneandonly
Hahahaha you should have copied his summer Window posts they were hilarious: claiming we were advanced with Coutinho, bidding 30mil for Koulibaly and many others i can not remember. But when Townsend, Gray and Begovic came @Theoneandonly was nowhere hahaha. January window bring it on ??

I posted about a week ago that I thought we may just bring in Hickey and Patterson with Ramsay as the rotation option for both positions.

Looks like its Mykolenko incoming (more athletic/quick than Hickey) along with Patterson.

How much do you think Ramsay goes for, £5mil?

Should sign him as well, keep him on loan st Aberdeen for the rest of the season and bring him over in the summer.

Strange weve splurged £18mil odd on Mykolenko within a week of Benitez falling out with Digne...

...but still not sorted a right back.
Well obviously they’re trying for a RB, just trying to agree a fee for the Scottish kid

The fact that he’s not even getting a game for Newcastle tells you he’s turd.

He's quality mate.

Utd were willing to spend 50m on him in 1986 or something but Bemitez wanted to keep him and build the side around him. So he got Shelvey to go next to him and Almiron to fire in the assists to Ivan Toney who he sold for a Mars bar and a packet of crisps.

Honestly, do you even know what you are going on about? Longstaff is cheaper than a 20m player so we should sign him? It doesn't make sense. Regardless if his transfer fee is £0, £10m or £20m he's still a very poor player that doesn't start in a team who have won one game half way throurg a season.

We are in "trouble" with ffp because we have overspent on dross, we don't have to wheel and deal we have to stop making stupid mistakes or spending money every transfer window on terrible players that don't improve our team.

Well if you can't get in our starting midfield then you are absolutely turd

And at the end of all this he is more likely to sign for Forest, which is his level, plus there is a fee involved as still has six months on his contract!

Ah well, next......

Theres 3 somewhat similar players out of contract in the summer...

Kessie from AC Milan, 25 years old and walks into most teams. I think he wants £150k a week + signing fee. That would be 'the' statement blockbuster signing that id say puts us into a permanent 'top 6' level once we add full backs and a right winger...absolute class.

Zakaria: Very, very good player but had a major injury and one or two smaller ones which have set him back from becoming one of the big name players behind Kessie.

Kamara: Marseille who at 22 is the youngest of the 3 and a real diamond. Can play centre back and full back but over the last 18 months has made a name for himself as a defensive midfielder. Wouldnt surprise me to see him going to Man Utd.

For me, if we cant attract/afford Kessie then we go for Kamara who is going to be a really good player for his next club. Zakaria is good but the injury is a concern and i think there will be higher potential alternatives.

Well obviously they’re trying for a RB, just trying to agree a fee for the Scottish kid

Yeah, its more that within a week of Benitez falling out with Digne we suddenly get a replacement....but its taking alot longer for the right back weve needed for ages.

I do find it odd that weve not just taken Ramsay from Aberdeen for a small fee...in addition to going for patterson.

He is also extremely small, no thanks for the money they would want!

Imagine if we played 3 at the back and had Livramento at RCB and Lamptey at RWD.

Its amazing to me that Chelsea let both players go...if they want Digne then surely theres a player we could swap him for from Chelsea....like the boy on loan at Palace.

How do you sign 5-6 good top 7 quality players for pennies though?

Its much much easier said than done and peoples expectations will have to drop.

For every £15-20 million signing like the Ukranian LB you'll be getting a freebie like Townsend/Longstaff and hopefully they offer something to the squad.

You use the loan market firstly, then look at your free transfers with agents you can work with, then younger up and coming players which are harder to find, then players whom can improve your team for a shorter period due to age, on yearly contracts same as the squad player Townsend

You don’t just plumb for a fella you know won’t add anything ( it is only us and Forest interested in Longstaff)

Just my opinion who has never been close to running a club

I do - and 3-4 signings of good quality will be mimimum £50+ million which we haven't got.

You're talking £10+ million for Rangers 2nd choice RB and £20 million for a lad from the Ukranian farmer league.

Therefore moaning about then signing a freebie like Longstaff because we dont have another £10-20 million for a CM due to FFP is tantrum throwing imo.
Because there are much better players we can get on frees/loans than Sean flaming Longstaff
