Dont rate Dele Allí and frankly never have, massive swerve. Never been a creative type, more of a second striker. We need creativity and pace.
While we definitely need more creativity moving forward and better footballers all over the pitch, who can keep the ball better . But that’s not happening overnight. So I would take Ali for 4 months.

I *think* that in an ideal world, he probably suits the sort of player Benitez wants in a 4411/4231 playing off a main striker

However, that doesn't account for the fact that he hasn't been in good form for years, is supposedly really lazy and, to top it all off, earns big money and wouldn't come cheap if we wanted to make it permanent at some point

Seems pointless

I did say on a loan, pal. I had my reasoning for saying that, it was essentially to ensure we're not stuck with him if we, like you say, don't have the tools to make him better. Also, Gray has thrived with us this season. Alli at his peak years ago was better than Gray ever was in the Premier League. Well, that was up until this season of course.
I don’t disagree at all. His peak was much higher but this trough - and it’s now far from being short-term - is much lower than anything Gray ever experienced. I just can’t see him ever getting back to even a shadow of his former self.

What i mean is Gray had huge potential at Leicester, dropped off and wasn't the best in Germany , he was almost starting to become forgotten. He came to us , in a not so talented squad and has made a huge difference . He's took this chance , and so far has taken it brilliantly and I think (imo) Ali could do the same , there is talent there but the thing with Ali which we don't need is his attitude .
If we got him then of course I’d hope you were right. For the sake of a young lad and his confidence/mental health I hope you’re right in any case. I just can’t see it, personally.

Thats what I feel is happening to Ali, starting to fall into that forgotten man role . This could do wonders for his confidence/ mental health as he would get games with us . Again, this is just my opinion

It’s very definitely one of two extremes for him, isn’t it? A move could revitalise him, but at the moment (more so than usual) our fans won’t tolerate crap and if he didn’t hit the ground running I think it’d defo be game over before it begins.

We wont go for Alli, that lad will end up abroad for a payday more than likely Italy as he would suit that style of football. There are plenty of better options out there, it is about time the lower leagues were looked at because it seems like Premier League clubs don't do that anymore and there is some quality in the Championship and even League One that could improve our side.

I wouldn't touch Dele with a bargepole.
