Have we not learnt by the Mosh years that leathering millions on tosh isn’t the answer.I think we all know we won`t be spending huge amounts in the summer, I`m sure those saying save the money fully expect the club to spunk £100m or more but that simply is not going to happen.... we all know it, plus players signed permanently now will have been here next season reducing the task in the summer.
Open question,
Of all the PL clubs who bought players for money, realistically, who would you of liked us to sign that non objectively would be a really good signing?
I can only think of Esse at Palace
You’re currently the biggest cheerleader for this Dave, wanting the owners to lash cash around like the first week of City under the oilers. And bedded in.
The whole situation still feels like short termism is in charge.
It doesn't feel like any permanent roots are being planted either on the ownership or management side of the club.
I’d sooner spend 0 pounds on no players than whatever money we have on panic signings or overpriced players in the Jan window. Clearly, the sham that is PSR is also hanging heavy over the club still, and why wouldn’t it - I’m certain if we make the smallest misstep, we will get hammered again, unlike the scabs who seem to be able to do what they want (except maybe United, who must really be in the brown stuff judging by their window.)
Also feels like TFG have decided that thelwell ain’t for them and so he will be on his way at the end of the season. They need to have all the pieces in place and ready so we can go on the first day on the summer window, as that’s gonna be quite the rebuild.
We’re taking a bit of a risk now, so hopefully injuries are done in the main ans we don’t get too many more bad ones. I trust Moyes to pick up enough points to see us safe, couldn’t say that about the previous custodian.
Moyes will also have to use some of the youth players at some point, so we may see sherif getting mins, especially if we’re chasing a game - it won’t be Ashley Young coming in every match.
This window was a little disappointing imo, but we also need to be realistic and pragmatic - it’s going to be a pivotal summer for the club and the new owners.
Just been looking at it mate - Dan Neil looks a player at Sunderland, year left on his contract to.
Very few of them (if any) have squads as depleted as ours though. Needing 2 or 3 BEFORE losing 3 key payers...Open question,

I know its easy to say after they had a game of terrestrial TV yesterday, which they both did really well in.Just been looking at it mate - Dan Neil looks a player at Sunderland, year left on his contract to.
I like Neil, not top top level but I'd say similar qualities to Garner and similar potential too.
The money for our ground was ringfenced from eleswhere I am sure - there is no way we could siphon half a billion from our revenue.I remember it took Arsenal over a decade to be able to spend proper money after they built a new stadium, are we expecting the same ?
Both Bournemouth and Brighton signed 2 really promising players for the future on deadline day. Esse at Palace and as a bit of a wildcard I liked Forest picking up Ndala.Open question,
