If they keep him on they have to let him pick the team, if not, why have they kept him. The sensible course of action is to sack him and sign a couple of players who bring a bit of pace and craft in the wide positions.
Fair enough we have cover. Maybe I should have said adequate cover. We've 1 LB (with cover from Young who's 39 and is usually already on the pitch). Our RB options have for the most part all been injured with 2 of them being wrong side of 35. Defensive midfield is currently down the bare bones with Tim and Garner out. We don't have one natural right sided winger. We have cover at CF but Beto looks to be off to Italy, Dom's leaving and Broja is (I think) more injury prone than Dom has been. We have just about (if not actually) the thinnest and slowest premier league squad in the league. I'd say we need to add to the squad in multiple positions. Minimum I'd say we need a LB, DCM, RW and if Beto goes a CF.
