I'm still not convinced that a striker is what we need. I think we need better service. We definitely need a right winger and we need to replace doucoure too. That should be the first thing. Imagine how many more opportunities we would create. Yes Calvert Lewin isn't scoring but look at some of the villa chances missed they were far better chances. Calvert Lewins were half chances at best the left footed shot was going away from goal and the one at the end was a poor ball by lindstrom as it was bobbling around quite high.

That chance at the end is absolutely not a half chance - it's as clear a chance as you can expect in the premier league.

Newcastle have to spend a fortune to bring someone in to improve their team. We don’t. There is not a worse player in the division right now than Harrison.

No but they’re in with an outside sniff of a title charge the way they are playing and the team they’ve got. If they weren’t arsed about PSR do you not think they’d be strengthening again?

Disagree with this in the short term.

The defence and central midfield is not a priority this window. We desperately need attackers who can create chances and possibly score one of those goal things I’ve heard about.

Cannot honestly see us surviving if the teams below us go on a decent run, we dont look like we have any fight in us.

We need strikers asap as the ones we have are either lacking confidence, useless or always bloody injured. (get rid of Lewin , Beto and send Broja back to Chelsea), maybe Moyes will play 5 at the back with Patterson and Mykolenko being pushed forward at every opportunity. I would give Harrison Armstrong a run out and never thought I would say we are missing McNeil. At the moment we are looking dire , just hope Moyes changes things around as we damn well need it.

They were not half chances, they were gilt edged chances that gets you relegated (similar to Bamford’s horror misses when Leeds went down). Doesn’t matter how much service he gets, it’s all redundant. That’s why I’m so sceptical about fellows, not necessarily because he’s bad, but a ‘pass first’ winger will be useless because they’re passing someone who simply cannot score. Buy goal scoring wingers or a new ST. I’d be looking to sell DCL this window as a priority. If Broja is going back to Chelsea, hurry up with it, that loan slot is beyond valuable.

Attack minded RB and a creative midfielder priorities for me. A striker would help too but we'd be very lucky to find anyone who would actually be a 'goalscorer' fornour budget so I think creating more chances is a bigger priority.

Those 3 to secure LM and CM positions with new players coming in up front and RM.

That's terrible man management when you have a load of players who've got us through in the last two years.

Not one of those players has improved over those last two years I'll go a far to say the whole squad has gone backwards, I wonder what or who is responsible for that

It's frustrating that we haven't signed anyone and we are half way through January. I hope we don't leave it until deadline day and panic buy, although you could argue that's exactly what we are doing now. Clubs will know we're desperate for players and will try and push the fee up. If we can send Broja back and get another loan in that would help. We can't afford to get any signings wrong, because if we do then I fear this might be the season when we do go down.
