How are we going to sign a proven player when we're still being limited by psr and we need to sign 3-4 players minimum.

If we go looking for 'proven' this month our options are going to be players like Willian.

Fans complaining about how Nuamah would be a terrible signing i dont really understand tbh. He's a young right sided forward with pace and dribbling - That will do for me. Might not be the finished article or a 'proven' player, but other PL teams being after him suggests to me that he's an upgrade on what we have.

Think the complaint about Nuamah has more to do with the purported fee than anything. Been reports that it would be in the range of £25 million, which for a player who currently has 0 goals and 0 assists this season in the French league of all places - if I'm not mistaken - seems astronomically high given our current overall needs.

Dewsbury-Hall in place of Doucoure would be such a massive upgrade. Sounds like he could be available on loan. If it’s at all possible to negotiate with Chelsea to swap Broja’s loan for his that should 100% be the priority. We’ve got the minutes for him and are nowhere near them so they could agree. Long shot of course.

Fair enough, totally happy to accept that view from somebody who is actually speaking from first hand experience and not just parroting whats being said by others.

For me its dependent on the fee and the structure of the deal. Shouldn't be a signing that takes up the majority of our available funds as to me it is more of a punt than a 25m signing.

I do think he could be decent for us personally. Good age, in need of some coaching but the one thing he undoubtedly has is pace which is what we desperately need on that right hand side. Wont be gutted if we don't sign him but won't be gutted if we do either.

You need to be able to do something with it though, this guy is Harrison with pace. He does have age on his side but he will need a fair bit of work imo.

I think sometimes it's easy to underestimate how much the addition of one thing can - not does - completely change the whole outlook of a side. It's possible that someone with genuine pace who can continually carry the ball 40 or 50 yards for us, or have teams leaving an extra man back in case of the counter etc, could make the whole team look much better as a unit. They don't necessarily have to be amazing to make a big difference.

If we could structure the deal Beto style with minimal payment up front I could accept 25m for Nuamah. Whether Textor being so desperate for cash makes this more or less likely - I'm not really sure tbh.

Crucial thing is obviously being able to spread whatever money we have across 3 or 4 different players ready to come in and start games.
