It's almost like it was a silly thing to say in the first place. We were always going to pick up injuries. We've been extremely lucky with fitness this season in general.
Clearly the club desperately needs new signings in ASAP. We're almost in Tottenham-style territory now with injuries, just our squad is significantly worse than theirs in the first place and we would not be able to cope and stay up without being strengthened.
Starters McNeil, DCL and Mangala out for the foreseeable future, Broja would have been in over DCL eventually, he's done for the season. Coleman and Irregbunam would have had plenty of games this season, and with our early season form Chermiti would have played plenty too.
Ya they could be hoping we return Broja with the full amount due now in desperation and thinking we might be back in on deadline day for another one of their players if we havnt got anyone in in loan by then

Leverkusen have signed the lad from villa so moved on from Mcatee (think City can't loan without recalling any more players either) player apparently still unhappy at playing time with the new arrivals etc especially with the Under 21 Euros upcoming...
Loaning him also brings him into the last 12 months of his contract as well which seems very risky for City.
