Everton January transfer window 2021

Curious on that front as based on the business rumblings in the league that makes sense. The club I would love to discern is Lille, who both seem to be in massive debt but are building one of the most sustainable sell on strategies in all of Europe, with a in house loan club Boavista to boot. Obviously such expenditures can happen removed from their financial troubles and they sit top of the league as of now but if Ligue 1 teams are in panic, would love to poach a fair bit of that team.
If Brands is off at the end of his contract. I would love for Everton to swoop in and offer a couple of million to Lille for their Director of Football. One of the best out there and if this TV money situation in France has presented us with a chance to get him we should definitely be looking to give it a shot.

All very reasonable and well put.

I'd ask though, is Sigurdsson not playing that position now? And have we not won 3 games consecutively against top draw opposition? And finally, has Alli got more to his game than Sigurdsson?
I do get that regarding siggurdsson, I think Ali is definitely a better goal scorer. Though I think siggurdsson is technically better.

While at times last season siggurdsson looked like he wasn’t interested in previous years for us and Swansea he’s always has very good stats, in terms of Km’s run. And maybe a better brain for understanding that position, having played deeper a lot in his career and for his country. Also in the the last 3 games he’s had iwobi as one of the wide players.

I’m nitpicking here and Ali in time maybe could also get better as the number 10/3rd midfielder

Right back is no longer a pressing need, holgate has been stellar in place of Seamus. We need a winger with pace who can also play through the middle in case Dom misses game time.

Gravy Sam can take Cenk with him to WBA and pay 15m for him, the very least he can do. Kenny can maybe be sacrificed and Bernard i think is a cert to go in January. Our problem is teams don't usually sell talent in January unless they are skint or the player is sulking.

That would be an excellent hire no doubt. Their DoF just left in the restructuring, hence the implication that some of their players could be gettable or that the club is in financial freefall. Apparently Luis Campos is on the shortlist at Man U DoF search, which makes sense on pedigree. If he doesnt get that, and Brands is outbound its a no brainer if he'd be interested.

It definitely Is of pressing need, maybe not in January, but the summer. Kenny isn’t good enough and Coleman is 32, past his best and picking up niggling injuries every few weeks.

While it’s great having someone like holgate who can fill in. In an injury crisis. But we need a Digne level player down the right. Yes it’s great we’ve played 4cb’s and been hard the breakdown the last few games, but long term that won’t get us challenging for trophies or near the top of the table.

I agree they are different players, and Sigurdsson has aspects he's better at, but I think Alli is better overall. I do also think Alli fits into a better team easier. A lot of Sigurdssons attributes are about dead ball delivery and being the centrepiece of an ordinary team. Alli is a player who can be a god in a better team.

The big worry with Alli would be the attitude. It would depend on whether Carlo felt he could get him right.

Agreed for January. Coleman, Holgate is fine for now; JJ is very low wages so keep him for the season as emergency backup. In the summer JJ goes; sad to say that I wanted him to workout but Carlo has seen what he needs to and has decided and the right thing to do for his career. Buy a starting RB in the summer and keep Coleman for one more year plus buy another very young talent in the mold of Niels Nkounkou to give him time to adjust.

They might be the most tuned in commercially, but the biggest? Not for me. RM by some distance.
For me, as a someone from a third world country, SA. but Africa as a whole only cares about the traditional top 4.

Man utd and redsh** are followed by the majority here. Generally because local leagues are useless useless.

As a brand. Man u dominates Africa and asia.

Neto from Wolves would be a fantastic addition in the summer.

He's on the cusp of being something very special, 21 now and he's looking fantastic this season.

Im no fan of siggurdsson and he definitely hasn’t justified the price tag and I wanted him gone last summer. I think Ali is better, it was more of where he plays.

I’d love us to sign Ali for 40mil and he became a brilliant player for us and scoring 10 goals a season from
The 10 position especially when he was touted as a 100mil pound player 2 years ago.

Can't see anyone leaving Wolves for Everton at this point. We'd have to quadruple their wages and we won't be doing that anytime soon.
