Hmm, I think his start to the season shows how useful he can be.

But we know he should be a bit-part player now. It's a failing of the recruitment that he isn't already.

However, I don't think he won't be here in 2 years' time, even as just that club captain figure who drops in every now and then - like Jags in his last 2 seasons. Whatever we think of Coleman's performances lately, he's well respected in the dressing room and by the manager.
I suppose we can keep him for the rallying cries after a defeat. He’s world class at that

Holgate was our number 1 CB last season before being injured. Keane has stepped up this season and is brilliant but nothing says to me Holgate isn't in the mix for the 2nd starting spot... as easily we could see the back of Mina with Holgate and Godfrey fighting it out for Keane's partner. Both have the benefit of being versatile across the back 4. Both though want that starting CB spot.

RB is number 1 priority. Excited to see who eventually comes in.

I don't believe we need to start thinking about selling a CB for some time, or replacing any that we have.. Deffo sell before buy in this department now.

He played very well in those opening matches and we missed him when he was injured.

Since he came back he hasn't been great. Though both league games he started he played in an unbalance back four, with Godfrey one side and him the other. He was very poor v Rotherham, however.

We know we need better and younger. It's going to happen, and should have happened sooner. However, there's nothing wrong with him being around. As I said, he's a respected leader in the dressing room, and Carlo loves him.

The amount of crosses Digne and Coleman allow into the box has been shown up by Godfrey and Holgate being so aggressive in getting out to them.

Yes it’s made a huge difference. It’s noticeable whenever Coleman is back in the team now, he’s turning his back on crosses coming in to the box and we’re being punished.

Godfrey and Holgate are doing the basics so well. Long may it continue.

I'd disagree with that. Keane for me was the top guy the whole time. Holgate was better than Mina though last season and fit better with Keane.

I somehow managed to claim him and Celik in one tweet a while ago. Genius.

100% .. crosses coming into the box constantly has been a massive bugbear of mine... much better at reducing the balls in and we can see the difference defensively.

Centreback is the strongest part of our squad. Totally happy with our options there.
