Hey everybody my name is Jorge Rodrigues. I have been an everton supporter for the past yr or so (new to watching BPL) and love this football club so much. I have started up a supporters group focusing on the LGBT community (or people who support LGBT rights) for everton supporters. I am doing that because I feel we can be ahead of the curve and get a huge group of people to support these supporters but also the causes they bring with it. The group's league is Rainbow Toffees- The Everton LGBT Supporters Group. I am trying to get a huge amount of support because I know globally there is a ton of people who are gay or lesbian (or who support their rights) that are evertonians. So I thought this would be a good way of bringing it to ppls attention. I am hoping to get enough support to make it the official support group from the everton football club. Thanks again guys.

no its not but it def is a topic of discussion since I know a lot of people have an opinion about doing this kind of supporters group... for some it can def be controversial.. and I am willing to answer any questions regarding this group and what it all means.

U know that really really was a cheap shot because I for one do not want to make it a group about how to get laid... last time I checked it was a group where LGBT ppl can come together to support Everton Football Club I def do not see that as a problem.

Grindr.. really are we really subjecting ourselves to that... I for one am not making a grindr cause I for one am not seeing this group as a "grindr" like atmosphere... again I will explain its a group for LGBT members come together to support the Everton football team and talk about them as well... nothing about getting laid nor grindr

I can only imagine the debate you guys had when they were doing the rainbow laces campaign... I will admit there are some ppl that are very strong opinions which I definately understand. I just want people to realize that there are ppl who are LGBT who support this club who also want a supporters group that is directed towards them and the issues we care about in football and such. I thought ur quote was funny and i laughed out loud.

To be honest on here we've got all sorts of lids of all shapes and forms from loads of places over the world (where I've lived in every one of them place likes) of different colours, sexual persuasions and even some who don't like pasties. So its a sound place no matter what you believe or like. Good luck with your quest lid.

The point is that the vast majority of Evertonians do not care whether you are LGBT or straight, it is a complete irrelevance. The only people who appear to care and wish to differentiate is the LGBT people themselves.
