Ryan Ledson continues to make a big impression on News readers after he was voted their Cambridge United man of the match for the second time. Having taken the honour on his debut against Accrington last weekend, the Everton loanee picked up the most votes once more in last night's 4-2 success away to Morecambe.

Luke Berry and Harrison Dunk gave him a run for his money, but it was Ledson who came out on top in our poll.

Results - Ryan Ledson 23.53 per cent, Luke Berry 17.65, Harrison Dunk 14.71, Ryan Donaldson, Ben Williamson both 8.82, Leon Legge, Cameron Gayle both 5.88, Sam Beasant, Mark Roberts, Conor Newton, Barry Corr, Robbie Simpson 2.94.

Great after people were worried about him earlier this season.

Sounds like ledson is creating an impression. Perfect for him to be the main man there and will give him alot of confidence to carry through with us and push Barry / McCarthy / Besic.

Mattioni sounds like a player. Think he has only a contract till the end of the season and is on a season long loan to prove his fitness perhaps...bit of an odd one. Would have thought it may have been with a view to a sale from us...quick profit. But perhaps Martinez looking for him to come in next summer and push coleman?

Henen i really hope can do well. Would allow us to move on some of the duff wingers we have.

Out of all our players on loan, Ledson's seems the most satisfying performance. Of late I've only seen his 2nd half performance for England u19's , on TV, but he looked to be back at his best and would have caught the eye of Scouts live and on tv for loan potential. However , I do have it in mind two of our young players of a similar England background who also did well out on loan and who I had high hopes for , Steven Schumacker many years ago and John Lundstram recently. I haven't seen the fixtures but Ledson may play against Lundstram's Oxford at some time. Given the negative comments he seemed to attract earlier in the season it's really great to see him out on loan , enjoying his football and playing well.

Do you think he is heading that way or do you think his time has passed?
Seems like his chance has gone tbh, although I might be wrong. He can't nail down a starting spot in the championship and his competition at Everton is much stronger. Also seems like Martinez doesn't rate him that highly as he keeps getting chances during preseason then getting shipped out on loan while players like Dowell will likely catch him up soon.

Shame really but i suppose we cant expect everyone that goes through the academy to be a success with the first team and with so much talent there coming through and with the talent already in the first team squad you really have to be exceptional to make it.
