Anyone know if henen played for fleetwood in their derby loss v blackpool the weekend?did ledson play?
Ledson's played the full 90 in all 3 games since he's been there and the fans love him. Voted MOTM twice and they go on about how lucky they are to see him in a Cambridge shirt and how he's a future England star.

Henen is playing well for Fleetwood, the fans seem to like him at least. He played the full 90 in their derby loss though.

Cheers lad.thats great to hear about ryan.seems to be settling in very well straight away.hopefully a good sign of his mentality.loan move to the championship next i suppose would it?

Ya hav'nt heard much about henen since he has gone there apart from the first game in which he scored so good to see the fans like him which means he must be doing alright there.

Yeah the only problem is there seems to be hardly any Fleetwood fans online which makes it difficult to judge lol The Cambridge fans were talking about how Ledson is a natural leader the other day, he seems happy there but if a club in L1 or the Championship come in for him in January and offer guaranteed playing time he'll probably go there instead.

I'd rather Ledson stay at Cambridge and play every game till the end of the season than send him higher in January and him barely play. Got to look at it from the loan clubs point of view: if they're a Top 6 team he's not going to start because what they have is good enough, if they're a bottom 6 team he won't start as they can't risk a kid. May as well keep him in a league where young players can be risked.

Also, wtf happened to George Green?
His last tweet was about leaving Oldham for "personal issues", now he showed up at some random club named Ossett Albion, due to the coach being his old PE teacher or something like that. Looks proper run down now too, jeez.

Anyone know what those personal issues were? Drugs or something?

.....best not go there, suffice to say that football isn't unique and folk fail to achieve in all areas for whatever reasons.

...presume he's not ready or not good enough. If we used the first team to trial players fans would soon complain at the impact on results.

I hear what you are saying on the first part. Sometimes that backfires when we all assume certain things about a new player for example Mustafi. He was seen as an Everton reject by Moyes. We simply let him go.

He left Goodison a virtual nobody who got a shot at redemption in Serie A.

Three years later Shkodran Mustafi has a World Cup winners medal and a reputation as one of Europe’s best young defenders following an 8m Euros move to Valencia last summer.

File, most certainly, under ‘one who got away’ for Everton.

Mustafi himself admits he faced an uncertain future after David Moyes allowed him to leave for free in 2012 after making just one senior appearance for the Toffees over three years.

“When I first arrived in England, I spent three years without a game with the first team – just one game in the Europa League,” he told Spanish newspaper AS.

“I didn’t want to be there just to earn money and not play. You sign a three or four-year contract but if you are not playing, what happens after that? That was a tough time for me.

“You get to the point where you have to make decisions and each one you take will set you of down a certain path.”

Now still only 23, the centre back has played in the Bundesliga, Premier League, Serie A and La Liga - and learned to be unfazed regardless of his footballing backdrop.
