Everton players out on loan (2015/16)

Roberto has been quite clear about the path he sees for Leandro , particularly about the need to make sure he adapts both physically and mentally to playing in England and the time it will take. He's payed a fairly small sum for a proven player in the Uraguayan league who clearly is not ready yet to play PL. Therfore we do what we do with all young players - assess what is needed for his development and put a plan in place. The fact that he has been injured has disrupted that plan, but a plan remains. Pushing him out to a Championship side before he is ready is clearly not part of that plan both in terms of the player needing to adapt and what Championship club is going to play somebody with no back ground in England.?

Also, wtf happened to George Green?
His last tweet was about leaving Oldham for "personal issues", now he showed up at some random club named Ossett Albion, due to the coach being his old PE teacher or something like that. Looks proper run down now too, jeez.

Anyone know what those personal issues were? Drugs or something?
The personal issues seemed to be his girlfriend was pregnant - he retweeted (and then deleted) an ultrasound picture.

Ledson's League 2 Cambridge United are up against Conor Grant's League 1 Doncaster Rovers in the FA Cup this weekend.

Doncaster Rovers Match Day Programme Preview

Read a sneak preview at the main feature article with Cambridge United loanee Ryan Ledson in tomorrow’s Emirates FA Cup special edition of the match day programme.

The 18-year old reveals his hunger to test himself in the Football League during his time with the U’s and discusses how he has settled in at the Abbey Stadium.

Take a sneak peek here:

“I’ve played in every age group for Everton and over 30 times now for England, and I think the experience of those European competitions and playing against the best young players around the world has really helped. I’m still only young, 18, so to have that under my belt already is good.”
He added: “But I want to get as many games as I can while I’m here in Cambridge and make the most of my time so that when I go back to Everton I have even more experience.
“I came to the club before the Accrington game and we have gone pretty well since then. We have lost one game but won two, and I think we look like a strong side at the moment. I’m really happy with how I have settled in and all the lads have been brilliant. I’m looking forward to the next few weeks.”

Also in this weekend’s Emirates FA Cup edition are columns with Chairman Dave Doggett, Manager Shaun Derry and Chief Executive Jez George. Junior supporters can take on the Emirates FA Cup adventure pack whilst the programme also contains the usual 100 Years of Coconuts features, facts & figures and news from around the club, all for just £3!

Meanwhile, U’s midfielder Luke Berry has signed 30 copies that will be distributed randomly around the Abbey Stadium giving supporters the opportunity to win a special signed version of the programme.

Tickets for tomorrow’s fixture against Doncaster Rovers (kick off 2pm) are still available online with today marking the final chance for supporters to make a £2 saving off full match day prices. The Amber Army can also buy in-store right up to kick off.

For those who have seen Ledson regularly was the lack of game time earlier in the season due to loss of form?

Also, i know he's still only 18 but has been so highly rated i was thinking he may be fast tracked (and was in Martinez's first season). What does he need to improve to get game time in the first team (even just a few minutes) and is he still as highly rated as he was two seasons ago now being older?

personally think it was too many games in the last year or so.
starts today against doncaster but dont think grant is playing for them for some reason.

Hopefully he keeps getting MOTM awards and gets another move in Jan somewhere higher but as 1st choice.

Id be keen to learn what hes lacking other than experience now to get into our first team

Ledson playing for Cambridge , against Doncaster, saw him in the goal celebrations after Cam went 1-0 up , also it looked like Connor Grant playing for Donny but no Mattioni still out with calf injury. Also saw this :

Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Ferguson says he plans to talk with Everton in the next few weeks about keeping midfielder Conor Grant beyond January.

The youngster extended his loan deal until January earlier this week after an impressive first month at the Keepmoat and Ferguson is hoping to extend it even further.

"I will have to have another conversation with Everton. I will have it, it is just a matter of picking the right time because it is a busy period now, for both them and us," Ferguson told BBC Radio Sheffield .

"It will probably be in the next couple of weeks because we are into the middle of December by then, so we need to have a conversation and we will see what happens."

Grant has made six appearances since arriving at the Keepmoat and he scored on his debut in the win against Colchester United.

.....thought Ledson might not actually play for the fear of being cup tied.

Yeah there was a quote about that on Cam site , I think they had 3 players on loan they needed permission for. Speculation on my part but maybe they are planning on a longer stay for him. Not so much about us needing him, but if the opportunity came to move him on a further loan say in January being cup tied could count against him . It was nice to see the way he joined in the celebrations , chatting with the goalscorer and having a smile on his face.
