Everton reopen talks with Sam Allardyce

I'm 98% sure Big Sam is Steve Walsh. This will be confirmed if Shakespeare comes too.

Feels like Kenwright couldn't get his way with Dyche, Moshiri couldn't get his way with Silva, so they've gone to the middle man and ended up with this.

100% Steve Walsh, he pushed it 4 weeks ago, and was absolutely fuming we didn't bow to his demands then. This is from someone who used to work with him...

We have gone from being boot room boys club, to Steve Walsh's boys club.

They say people who have pretend power protect themselves - which I would guess is the situation here.

So if the board know this and know there will be revolt when it's to boring to watch they shoudnt be doing it. Panic if it ever were anything.
There won't be revolt as it's Everton really, we don't do anything cuz it's apparently Kopite-ish to do... any form of protest or, well, anything.

And on the boring to watch - dead excited about how we're currently doing like...

Can we even say that he has the players at his disposal to play the football the way he wants it? we are what 6 weeks from the transfer window and 9 games... I genuinely dont think we have the players he would use in his system.

He has 9 games before he can get his normal mercenaries in the jan transfer window.

Wowsers - 9 games is a long time for a wrong appointment.

We aren't doomed for frig sake. We aren't even bottom 3. It's inane.

We are in trouble obviously. But doomed????

Palace are far from doomed. Even Villa weren't doomed at this point the year they went. It's really bad but catch a grip.

Palace are much more likely to stay up than us at this moment in time

Nope. We absolutely do not have them. My biggest concern.

To be fair mate you've just said "I don't think anyone is saying we're not doing that badly" followed by "I don't think we're in a relegation battle". Utter fantasy island stuff.
It's not fantasy island stuff at all! We're not in the relegation zone, and have a home game tomorrow against a side below us, which if we win could see us up as high as 11th. We're on a PL losing streak of a massive 1 game, and aren't even in the bottom 3 if you only look at the last 5 games, so even our horrendous form isn't currently relegation standard. The narrative that we're absolutely doomed is the fantasy.

No, you don't have to be "in the bottom 3" to be in a relegation battle. We have won 1 game in about 8 in the league, 3 away points all season. We are 2 points off 18th. Conversely, if we lose tomorrow and West Ham leapfrog us will you consider us in a relegation battle?
