Everton reopen talks with Sam Allardyce

Mad that I agree with this and we have a 4 point (I think) headstart.

Look back to the first EL qualifier away to Zumberok (or whatever they were called). We stunk the place out. With the exception of the city game, we have been putrid, lacked any desire, bite or enthusiasm and have shown nothing in every single outing be it league, EL or cup. The latter part of last season wasn't much better. I fail to see what Allardyce, or anyone for that matter, can do for the next six weeks or so working with the same rabble. The best we can hope for is that he identifies the least interested / most culpable wastrels (there are several), isolates them from the rest of the squad and focuses his efforts on a spine of a dozen or so he can work with as an interim measure.
I feel there will be a clearout of significant scale in January with the identified dross available at knockdown prices, loans..

It has sadly.

I was at Southampton and the body language of the players was awful. When they walked out, most didn't even look up at the fan base.

They never look at each other. When Southampton hit the post first half, Jags and Keene just looked at the floor, turned around and started walking back out ready for the goal kick, no inquest, nothing.

The players wanted it over from the moment they crossed the white line, most didn't want to be there.

OK great - all that is true.

But why is Sam Allardyce - a proven crook who has had six jobs in ten years and has lost more games than he's won over that time - the only solution to that suddenly?

No, you don't have to be "in the bottom 3" to be in a relegation battle. We are 2 points off 18th. Conversely, if we lose tomorrow and West Ham leapfrog us will you consider us in a relegation battle?
No, because it's November. It's like Burnley fans saying they're fighting for the Champions League places, would you say that was the case? If we're still in this position after another 6/7 games then yes, I might start to see it as a relegation scrap, but at this moment in time I don't think you can make that sort of call. Even when playing badly - and even under Unsworth who I think is absolutely clueless and needs to be replaced immediately - we've managed to keep our heads above water. I really don't see the need to panic at this stage.

This is really doing my head in, I cant believe out of all the managers in world football that we could have turned their head - we have gone for Sam Bloody Allardyce.

He shouldn't be the answer to any question at our club.

Its pathetic, and the board need to do one now, they are to blame for this.

What has Sam done that is illegal?

People keep mentioning him as a crook, that Panaroma also said Fergie was also doing the same as him. Managers take advantage of the situation and look after their family members.

because the media and the host of former pundits have said he is mate

OFC you could doubt the pundits actual knowledge - as most are brain dead idiots

and the media would have zero agenda in wanting a manager like Allardyce who is a headline writers dream to get back in the league would they?

None of those shouts are anything to do with wanting whats best for this club, they are based on whats best for the people spouting that we should go for him

He knows what to do for not getting relegated. Look at Sunderland. He did keep them up. That was nearly a miracle, something Mr Moyes knows very well.

Name someone else who has dealt with a relegation battle before?

That's not taking the Mick, id just like to know a list of other managers that have dealt with a problem like ours.

So in world football there is no-one who could achieve the same feat??

Or is it down to the fact that we are so obsessed with the hyperbole of the premier league we are too scared to look at managers with zero prem experience.

IMHO, I think its down to the board being cowards personally.

We do enough to let it known aka Martinez and Koeman and it will be no different with fat sam in charge.
To let it be known to the guy in charge, who proceeds to stink out the place for either a month too long or, in Martinez' case, a year too long? It's basically nothing.

How come when there's discord like this at any other club literally EVERYONE knows it, but for us it's basically a pat on the head when the news reaches Sky, a month later than it should? Is it because other clubs fans actually show these things instead of being told to pipe down by their own? "Uh, but it's a kopite thing to do to protest/show banners lad, just sit down and pipe down and silently complain every so often like the rest of us.".

This whole mindset is spread throughout the club at all levels, for some reason, and it's so annoying.

Why is that the prerequisite for a manager???

Jose Mourinho at Chelsea took 11 points from their first 12 games and lost his job after losing 9 of 16 games total in mid-December - did Chelsea at that point go "right, time for Pulis or Allardyce, we're in a right scrap here"?

Peoples heads have fallen off. We don't need a "relegation specialist" because all you do is put a plaster on the situation and start a downward spiral, because you establish yourself as a club who needs that kind of manager rather than one that has forward ambition.
