It goes to show how well moyes done on a budget even if we did bottle a final, a semi final and derbies we never were in this situation, solid top 8 side, apart from the odd season.

This is not forever. It's to sort us out.

Is he who I want to lead us to glory? Is he heck
Are we anywhere near glory? Quite the opposite. We're as far as we've ever been.

If he can steady the ship then great. It can't get worse than the last two games.

I'm not as bummed by this as others that's for sure.

4 points in first 8 games at Palace, 9 in his first 11 games at Sunderland mate, you sure it cant get worse?

and if Allardyce replicates his form upon taking over the last two teams he's had mid season mate, how you think the fans and board will react to that after 22-24 games and we are worse off than now and playing that style of football?

Except we can't be playing worse football than we already are.

Well, that maybe the case - but to just assume Sam Allardyce is the answer to that question is just as bad.

We wouldn't be in this position if there was any leadership or Direction from the board down.... its a farce its been left to go on this long, and that we are expected to just accept that fraud at our club.

No that is all absolutely true. The board are crippling this club, and that's the position we are going to be in for the foreseeable future until Bill gets out. We are a small club, and we will never progress until the club itself moves on from the current regime.

which was said when we sacked Koeman, now it's being said again mate

here is the thing, Allardyce is being labelled as a sure thing for keeping us up - it's his history and it's what he always does,

So look at the history of his last two clubs taken over in similar circumstances - first half of the season - and their results preceeding him for the next 8-11 games.

What you think our supporters/board will be like if we gain 4 from 8 or 9 from the next 11 games? because that is also Allardyce track record initially at clubs

Its really done my head in mate - I have really wanted it to be different but its not. The fact the "shortlist" is meant to contain Fat Sam, Fonseca and O'neil says it all about the board.

3 managers, completely different styles, Silva again completely different - where is the vision, the direction.

I hate to say it, but its time for them to move on - the lot of them, they are to blame for this absolutely every 5 weeks of the absolute misery they have allowed to happen.

I am fuming its going to be Fat Sam - he is a fraud and he loses more games then he wins I dont think he will effect us that much, but the board are the ones who need to be held accountable.

Why does Allardyce change this mate, see the stats for the post i just tagged you in - showing his intiial periods of 8-11 games at his last two clubs?

...i’m not saying he does. I’m not defending Allardyce, i’m just saying if we don’t change we’re definitely doomed. If Allardyce does come in we might still be doomed but we have a chance.

You wanna get bummed?

I actually agree with you that his impact isn't immediate.

But if you think any manager coming into this team will sort the utter mess out straight away then, to put it simply, you're wrong.

Mate, remove yourself emotionally from this and look at it objectively, you know our fans you know Goodison, what happens if we go the next 8 with 1 win and a draw, including a hammering at the pit, which given allardyce record initially at clubs is likely? He has once before worked at a place that went absolutely toxic on him - at Newcastle and they sacked him because their results got so bad they make our current form look positive.

I don't think any manager would instantly fix us mate, i'm not stupid, i think any manager coming in will need to do some serious adding in a couple of key positions in January - and i think that we need the injured players back - BUT i think many managers can do that in January, best we could hope for is a new manager bounce which gets a couple of decent results before the gashness of the team reasserts itself - we won't get a new bounce with Allrdyce - it's also something he doesn't ever give a team.

Will guarantee that a huge amount of the people calling for Allardyce will be already calling for his head come January if we go 4 points out of the next 8 games.
