Everton reopen talks with Sam Allardyce

Sorry I don't understand what you mean?

The point i'm trying to make is that Allardyce isn't a miracle worker. He's quite good at getting teams scrapping, but the idea that he's the only person ever to have achieved these amazing feats of escape is absurd. He did something at Sunderland that loads of others have done. Clement saved Swansea last season, Pearson saved Leicester, Sherwood saved Villa, even Martinez was famed for getting Wigan out of the mire every year. We don't need an escape artist, we need a good coach with new ideas.
Sorry, I wasn't sure whether the first few you mentioned had only survived once - whereas sam has literally been hired by teams for the sole purpose of surviving.

I think we do need an.escape artist, as our squad is a complete sham - our defence is quite literally the worst I've ever seen and confidence is shot tenfold throughout the club.

I would love a good coach with good ideas, but there is no.guarantee that the likes of Keane Jags Martina Williams etc can do anything like that.

That being said, they can't defend either so really idk.

Just think there aren't many, if any, options at all for us. For example, the Silva pursuit was hilarious as he was genuinely never going to be allowed to leave imo. Dyche is going nowhere as his team is a gazillion times better than ours etc.

We are rubbish at the moment not one person Pro/Anti Allardyce could even claim different... we all have to agree on that.

I jus think we are too short sighted to even consider anything outside our shores, which realistically leaves Sam because no-one will move mid season. There are better man managers, tacticians and more successful around the world then Sam will ever be, I just dont believe the board are brave enough to even consider it.
And you honestly think any top international manager would come?

I know it's a cliché but there are no guarantees of anything. Allardyce is absolutely not a guarantee we will stay up, and to be honest, with the fractures it may cause in the fanbase and the toxic atmosphere it may bring to the club, he may well make a bad situation worse.

Allardyce is known as an escape artist simply because he's not a very good manager and so has never been given a job at a club with any aims to finish above 11th. That should tell you all you need to know about his abilities. Others have saved clubs from relegation and then gone on to better things - he hasn't.

Dyche would definitely come here in my opinion. Burnley are doing very well but they are absolutely at their limit and will inevitably start to drop back down the league eventually. He's not an idiot, he would get out now while his stock is high and come here for more money, a bigger budget and the chance to become seen as a hero despite not actually having done very much, seeing as some fans appear to think relegation is an absolute certainty despite us, you know, not being in the relegation zone or anything.
